Gallbladder needs to be removed.

I had a second bout with level 9 pain for three hours last night. Only throwing up relieved the intense pain. I felt a gallstone force its way out of the bile duct. It felt like there was something moving and thumping inside my liver. Then immediatedly after that, they pain stopped. I am already scheduled to see a surgeon. It's going to be interesting going through surgry as a high risk patient. I will need to be taken off of blood thinners and they will have to pay extra attention to me due to sleep apnea. This is absolutely terrible not being able to eat anyghing for fear of intense pain. All I want to do is eat some cheese fries, but not worth it. I will just puke them up anyways. I hate the human body. So many moving parts to get screwed up. I hope the rest of you all are having a better week.

I remember when my ex had gall stones, The pain was just like you said. Excruciating. They did the surgery with the scope so she was home the same day. Actually, she went in the morning and was discharge around noon! I worked with a guy whose wife worked at the hospital and somehow she got a hold of my wifes stones and gave them to my buddy to give to me. Before I received them, he passed them around to all the guys at work to gawk at and talk about how big they were. I nearly kicked his ass for doing that but I thought is was pretty cool because I had never seen gall stones before. They were about 3/4 or an inch in diameter and smaller. I can see why they hurt so bad.

If your surgery goes as well as my wife's did it will be a piece of cake. No worries.

Been there done that, I had my gall bladder out 2 weeks after my 2nd hysterectomy. And it's High Fat foods that irritate the gall bladder and cause the high pain. IF you stick to bland food with no/low fat you can usually eat without the pain issues until you get through the surgery.

Its a very common surgery, I have a Clotting Factor Disorder, so I generally have to stay in the hospital overnight, but it's usually a day surgery and you're up and around when you get home. 3 small 2 stitch incisions and 1 incision in the belly button area.

Thanks for all of the prayers. I went to the ER tonight because I am weak and barely can stand up at work. They found a dilated bile duct and evidence that a stone had passed recently. My Gallbladder is moderately distended with multiple stones and bile sludge. They could not visualize all of the bile ducts to see if they are clear or stones. I elected to wait for surgery as long as no more attacks happen. I'm eating fat free foods for now. I guess my body is forcing me to eat better food. Pain is still there though and I have to quit y job for now. I am way too messed up to work like this. I almost couldn't make it home driving because the nausea was ramping up. They found possible stage three kidney disease too. So, looks like I'm all jacked up. Someone is putting voodoo on me. :-(

    check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

     I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...
