Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
I am feeling tired today but I slept terribly and still have the dreaded sinus infection. I am so glad you guys were here- I was ready to go to the ER at 1st and that would've been such a hassle. I actually had a pretty calm night and once DH got over my "stupid mistake" that made him cancel his bowling league, he was good enough to check on me every 15 minutes, then every half hour, and then I just told him to go to bed.
Actually, I DID have one odd reaction- my face got really hot. I had the window open and everything. But I scared myself, and I mean scared. Now I am back on schedule and enduring a bit of extra pain, just to space out the pills today in case any of the morphine from yesterday decided to hang around. I know it's odd but I can handle pain when I MUST and I really did scare myself. I took a long acting this morning but haven't taken a breakthrough yet. I sure could use it but like i said, I'm worried that some of the meds from yesterday are still hanging around.
I'm SO not scientific and have no idea how medications work. I just know my foot is screaming- I'm so used to taking the pills on schedule and maintaining a pretty low pain factor. I sure know now what happens when I skip a dose. But if it gets bad I'll take it. I'd like to make it 2 more hours so it's 24 from the mistake.
Again, thanks for all the help- I so appreciate it! God Bless!
Please don't take ambien during the day time. It causes abnesia really bad. Sorry I can't spell, lol.
Healing hugs
Thanks for the concern! :)
I just finally took my msir & am hoping to get the night's sleep I've been denied all week due to this sinus infection. I just wish the sinus pain & nausea would go away- I took only half a phenergan this time and no ambien. I'm so tired but that doesn't mean I'll sleep. The insomnia I've had since age 8 attacks often when I'm tired like this. We'll see.
I think this is a good case for developing some type of medication box that is computerized. We punch in the dose, the time, etc., and it records it and won't open another time unless it's time. It sounds like a fascist contraption but I bet it would help some people. I've only made the mistake once and I'm all for it, LOL!
Hope ya'll have a great night and no pain. Thanks again for getting me through last night- it meant a lot. :)
Here we go again- sick, pained, and fighting insomnia. At least tonight I need not worry about a medicine mistake. I don't know WHY I'm so awake. I had no caffeine today and I made sure to eat a small dinner. This is really annoying!
Can you try some milk, meditation, reading
OR
maybe jog around the block till you drop (LOL)
Feel better
I am supposed to fly to Vegas Weds and just found out a huge snowstorm is headed our way Tuesday night, making my shot of getting outta here for a few days slim. So now I'm stressed about the trip and re-planning, etc.
Hopefully the Oscars will bore me this year! ;)
Thanks all! :)
Glad you are ok!
