Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
We'd walk the beach at night, swim in the pools at all hours, and not worry about how the temperature would affect my foot. Then we'd leave for England and walk all the old castles we could fit into day 2, then jet to Walt Disney World and walk the whole thing, ride all the rides, coasters, etc., and have NO problem walking it all.
Oh, and since this is a fantasy, there would be no cigarette smoke at the hotels or in the casino, or anywhere, my son would be an angel in 1st Class where we'd ALL be upgraded, and we'd also be upgraded to the finest suites in the hotels. ;)
I love the idea of cleaning but lol it wont happen. We do remember the pain free days, that is why we grieve, hope for improvement.
Every day I ask myself if this pain will make me bitter and angry, but its doing the opposite. Its making me softer and more compassion for others. You never know, especially the quiet, hidden pain in life.
love you guys and thankful.
I'd go for a walk in the woods, down to the stream.
I'd finish unpacking and put up some decorations (I moved last June).
I'd go for a swim in the pond.
I'd go out and be in the world.
I would put on some lively music and dance!
I always take along a fun thing like the fixings for tin can ice cream. If you have never done this it is a hoot. You can make homemade icecrean in two tin cans using snow pack & ice. You just have to have evaporated milk and of course rock salt to cool the ice. Then you duct tape everything together securely. With the children you roll the can back and forth until it is icecrean. In the backcountry the center usually is this wonderful milkshake consistency that the kids love. You can make flavors, but keeping it simple gets the best results I found. I like to use to coffee cans with nice fitting lids. One coffee can must be small enough to fit inside the other. When you duct tape the lids on be sure the will not leak. This is also a fun thing to do at a kids party. Because they roll the can themselves and it take about 20 mins. Frost forms on the outside of the can so there is always some thrills when that begins. And kids love to eat what they make themselves. Hugs, Cathy

and run on the beach and play in the waves and look for shells
ride roller coasters over and over
and go white water rafting
and and go to amerika's party!
go play with children, too...someone's!
I'd be afraid to have to go back to being in paint. People I know killed themselves faced with life sudden filled w pain. I'd be scared.
Skydive.
Go on roller coasters.
The easier ones:
Go for a walk just because.
Sleep well.
Go running.
Play volleyball, baseball, football, and soccer again.
Learn to ride a bike.
Walk up and down stairs, just because.
Use a normal backpack instead of a roll-around one. (At least one of those days has to be a day I have class. :P)
Laugh when I want to, not because I have to laugh to make people think I'm okay.
Do cartwheels.
Go shopping.
Enjoy thinking without my mind being clouded by pain.
Skip.
Swim.
That might be a bit much for three days, but I think I could fit it all in. :D
Give it a shot, imagine what it would be like. You deserve that break, we all do.
Go shopping ALL day in high heels!
Deep clean my house....baseboards, scrub everything, change paint colors inside and have a dinner party like the good old days!
Go for a bike ride
Take a loooong walk along the waters edge
Plant a flower garden
Clean my apartment really well
Go to the farmer's market and all the art galleries I can find
Spend lots of time playing with my grandchildren
Take them to the park and the beach
Go dancing with my bf
and of course make love
Then have the best sleep ever
I would give a massage to every single senior ( assisted living where I used to work) that wanted one... above and beyond it made me the happiest because it helped them SO MUCH! When someone is locked into a forward position because that is where their spine lives... I can't help but want to nurture and help in anyway that I can.
Three days straight ( NO pain) Yeeessssss! :) And all those friends...
*FREE MASSAGE!!!**
