This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...

... I might be posting in the wrong place too. I don't know if this is pain or PTSD or some combination - but I have not been this ill in years... not since my radiation therapy for my cancer almost two years ago.
Yesterday morning I had my 2nd acupuncture apt, but it did nothing for my pain level. Ok, it worked for about 30 minutes - but that didn't even get me out to the car. When I got home I finished up the last two assignments and got them turned in for my degree - with a rush of RELIEF!!!!
This morning I wanted to just sleep in as I had not gotten to sleep until around 1am - but the dogs HAD to go out at 7am. I took one hydrocodone, 1/2 cyclobenzaprine, syntroid, 2 Advil, and 3 Aleve and waited for the pain to go down enough to think. At 8am I took a second hydrocodone and hubby gave me a massage. At 9am I tried to go lay down and do my PT stretches... and hurt worse then before I started.
At 9:45am I took 2 more hydrocodone (my Rx is for 6 tabs a day, 5mg each) and hubby drove us to the movies as my reward for finishing classes. On the way, he stopped and bought me my favorite espresso, which I barely touched.
"Edge of Tomorrow" I believe was the name of the movie. We did not see the 3D version. Now movies tend to leave me in pain, but by half way through I was in enough pain that if I had eaten anything it would have been on the floor. For almost half the movie I had to look away from the screen. Three times Misha tried to get me to leave but settled for me taking my clozapam.I was in a full body cold sweat and shaking.
When it was over, hubby left Misha to walk me out and brought the car around - and I dry heaved in the bushes on the way out. Hubby wanted to take me to the ER - but I refused. What would they do other than cause more stress?
I have spent the last 8 hours trying to chill. To calm my stomach, to try to nap, to do anything to slow the pain. Nothing is cutting though this. I hurt so bad I can't think. I feel so ill I have bounced everything - even tea. My best guess is the stress of change (end of school) combined with the jerky filming techniques....
But at this point I can't think anymore. I need to know I that is a reasonable cause.

I invited Bill to have dinner with me last Sunday. He wasn't willing to drive 7 hours to mid Michigan and teased me with his beautiful ribs!!! So, of course I ate alone and had cedar salmonĀ

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

It happens 70% of the time to me with wet weather and low barometric pressure.
I am so sorry you had such a bad day.
PS - idk if you are aware, but mixing ibuprofen and Aleve is really dangerous and can destroy your liver andPlease be careful. Hope you will be feeling better soon!
It has been raining here too - low pressure zone, high humidity and for us high temps (75). And I have been pushing like a SOB the last two months - between my daughter moving out, being the seamstress for a friend's wedding, finding out my house is going to have to be torn down due to black mold, and 18 units of science classes - with field work every weekend a two hour drive plus one hour ferry ride each way - I have not had time to turn around twice.
Today has been my first day "off". Though I did find out for one final I got a 97% - the highest score in the class. It has got to be stress manifesting as pain - coupled with actual pain.
I am on Pacific Time, so it is only 7:30pm, but I have not gotten more than a few hours of sleep a night all week. My three tries at a nap today failed to too much pain. I took all my pain meds this morning so I have nothing to use to sleep with tonight.
I do have great support. My hubby is worth is weight in gold - we have been together for better than 25 years. My daughter, who currently lives 900 miles away for college, is ready with one hour's notice to drive up and help.
Tomorrow I will drag my butt out to sit on my horse. Even if I don't feel well enough for him to walk around, just sitting there gives me peace.
Thanks everyone - I was really freaking out. Thanks for being there for me.

Shall we tease you about how much weight you put on eating so much at the theatre?
HUggggggsssssssssss
I am constantly worried about drug interactions. Sometimes it feels like I am just living on tea and pills. I keep telling hubby that I want to take some time and do nothing but try to lay back and heal... but that is still at least a year away.
I am done with my schooling now, but there are still a few things for me to do. My house is full of black mold and is not safe to live in. Now that I a done with school, I have to focus on packing the house and thinning out stuff by at least half if not 3/4s. As I won't be getting the supplemental income from the VA for going to school - I can't afford to keep the horses at a boarding stable. I am going to fix up the fence on the goat pen and move the two horses home. They can take over eating the lawn down now that I do not have goats.
Hubby, the two dogs, the three ferrets and I will hopefully be moving into a RV - we go look at one tomorrow. Once the property is sold, for lack of anyplace else to go, we will all (horses included) park in mother-in-law's back yard until hubby can find work - which he has not found here in three years... so actually my stress level is no less than it was last week, just different.

Three contractors came out and flat said the roof was done so badly it was not repairable - but had to be replaced. The mold inspector said most of the walls, most of the insulation, most of the ceilings are full of mold - what can be seen from what came down looks to be black mold - though we did not have it specifically tested. His opinion was the house is a total loss and no matter what repairs were made it to, I could not live it a all.
So the next dry day my daughter and I covered the entire roof with tarps and I slowly started packing - but had to get school finished first. So it has been four months since the ceiling fell in. Trust me, the second I can get out of this house, I will!!
My mother-in-law owns it and she is not thrilled about taking a loss, so hubby and I might have to stay on the property and build a new house in hopes of turning a profit - but I can't see how that is going to work out.
