Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...

Try having your boyfriend place the hip on 4 pillows wedged around it for support. When your hip is out of socket you are unable to point the toe to the ceiling. The foot will splay in or out but you will be physically unable to hold it upright. If you can take Motrin try 800 mg. If this is from muscle ibuprofen will help the pain. Also try ice alternating with heat. Sending love and gentle hugs your way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ((((((((((((((( )))))))))))))))))))))) Let me know!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Try a magnesium tablet and increase your hydration through more liquid or food with more water. Have your boyfriend do a lotion massage of your feet to help relax the muscles.
You are not alone here. I'm not on here as much as I'd like to be, however, any CL will provide help as needed. The view I have of pain, chronic pain, is that it's real, it's serious, and it needs to be taken care of.
Best wishes.
Sorry you are in pain.
I doubt extra benadryl is going to get you to sleep through the kind of pain your experiencing. If the ER *itch won't let you past the window, have you considered calling 911 and going by ambulance? That will get you in the back door and seen. If they're going to screw you around our front then you have to work around them and get to the Dr. whatever way you can. I don't know what kind of jackleg hospital your town has....but this is crap! I'd call 911 and go via ambulance.
I don't know if you've tried this, but have you ever had a cortisone shot in your hip? I have bursitis in both my hips and my left one has done the popping like you described the pain is awful. The cortisone shots helped me a lot. They still ache and on occasion the hip will do the loud pop but the pain isn't like it was. As far as the ER that's insane! I thought it was against the law not to treat, it is here in MN, they at least have to see you. Like others have mentioned call 911
then they have no choice. sending healing prayers, I sure hope you are able to get some rest tonight.
Hugs & God Bless
Lisa
It requires hospitals to provide care to anyone needing emergency healthcare treatment regardless of citizenship, legal status or ability to pay.
boyfriend and i warned our apartment neighbor last night about my pain and not treated so that if i was screaming she wouldn't think i was getting murdered or something. fitful night, boyfriend going insane from crying. called doctors office first thing in the morning and spoke to receptionist, nurse called back at 4 in the afternoon to ask why i called. same witch nurse from last time, very snarky. no call back, won't get one now.
@kat and beth, was told it "wasn't an emergency" and that was why denied treatment.
I've also seen people call 911 and if they don't feel your high on list they've kicked them to over packed waiting room. damn shame really
does you doctors office have a hospital it works with that would allow you to file a complaint via Email ? I had a RN being over the top rude asking why I was calling emailed the hospital and they sent the email to clinic director and she called and was very sorry about what I went through with the RN. its an idea the doctor may have no clue how badly their RN is treating you.
so sorry sweet heart
please keep us posted on how your doing
sending lots of hugs and fairy dust

Sending big hugs. MLC.
I am so sorry you are going through this. I am still baffled that the ER can turn you away legally because it is a violation of emtala which is a valid law applicable in all states. In order for them to assume you are not having an emergency is a bit brazen considering if it turns out to be something life threatening you will have a valid lawsuit. I have never sued anyone but in your case it presses boundaries. It is simply unacceptable that you are suffering this way and are refused treatment. Your only option at this point is to see a new physician period who doesn't know you at all. They will not have any bias against you and this may be your only option. Love and hugs sweetheart!! Keep us posted!!
