Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
I am supposed to go to my cousins graduation party today at 4. I really don't feel like it but know I should. How should I handle this?
This is a draining day!
have a good week-end everybody
Peace,
Pinky
See you all later.
Unfortunately, I still seem to be in the "hypersensitive" phase, which is a bummer.
My fellow friends with RSD have came forth with volumes of RELIABLE information, and my PM doc, nope, no dosage increases yesterday.
What he dished out was caring and compassion. And he had done as much RSD research as possible in the 3 or so days since I'd called him and we discussed an increase, but I decided against maybe a very small increase in my BTP, that I wanted to wait. I know eventually you hit the point where you have very few options left, and I don't, at 36, want to wreck it before I turn 40. I know that if you are not addicted to the meds, the increases are few and far between, so I take comfort in that.
He had me bring my cat (joked that I only had the copay, but that for the kitty, it was "Full fee" to kind of keep things light: he does do this with some people; and this kitty is certified as animal therapy; yes, even by the state--he visits the local nursing home when we can. So, well behaved.
But gave us both a laugh at the end of the visit when he crawled under the exam table; which has as you know, like a 2-inch clearance-or close-and refused to come out; he didn't want to stop being a ham. Tried to coax him out. Wasn't having it. Oh, no.
I picked up the carrier, and he opened the door, and says, "Well, we'll be seeing you...."
Out comes the cat!!!!
True story. The laugh I needed on a "hypersensitive day" when on an unusually warm and sunny Seattle day, I had to cover my eyes outside, because the sun made it all amplified.
Got home; all things were of the past: They were "testing the fire alarms" and it didn't stop until about 7pm. Someone rescued me at 5 or so with ear plugs finally, which I covered with earphones, but ugh.
I'd say the glass was mostly full though; a little got spilled, but in all; not bad.
Sorry to see Sunny go. I'm going to miss her. Seattle needs more Sunny.
Jenna
Gentle hug,
