Today I thought I might try and restle this birch tree that has been growing all over the place and I have been doing nothing about it. I know to be careful and to not over exert the flexor tendons in my wrists that run from the fingers. Well guess what, I think I've blown out the tendon that runs from the thumb back to the wrist. I'm starting to wonder if maybe "51 Percent " may be onto something with the rhuematoid arthritis suggestion.I've had the chronic wrist flexor trouble from the fingers for years and now I'm icing the top of my hand and it is just a screamin in pain. I tried to lay down and I just couldn't because it just won't stop. Tylenol and ice and it's still glowing.
I really do appreciate you guys and all your help. I know I raised some alarm bells when I said that I drink before dinner but I am dead serious that it is only moderate and I have always enjoyed alchohol since I was old enough to buy it. I'm lucky that the amount that I have has always been constant and never fluctuating. It really does make me feel good for a small part of the day. Hope this sounds reasonable. Besides I'm Canadian and the price of beer is so high I couldn't afford to go too wild.
Oh, as well. There was a time when I tried to back off the Lyrica. It was unfortuantely not successful for me.
Thanks again for hearing my problems.

I invited Bill to have dinner with me last Sunday. He wasn't willing to drive 7 hours to mid Michigan and teased me with his beautiful ribs!!! So, of course I ate alone and had cedar salmonĀ

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

My hand is still very sore and I don't think I will sleep much tonight.
I'm really not sure what I have done but I would guess tendon strain.I seem to be very vulnerable to tendon wear and overuse. I was thinking about that old Bruce Willis movie Unbreakable. If you remember it, I think I am Samuel Jackson because I'm brittle.
If it feels like this tomorrow I'm going for an Xray.
I don't think I have seen your past post. I have been having a hard time getting online then it will suddenly disconnect me. Very frustrating.
I am sorry about your hands. I have soft braces for my hands that I wear at night to protect my wrist and fingers. If you have anything like that you might be able to try and stabilize your thumb while you sleep.
I have to agree with you, if it is not any better talk to your doctor.
As far as a drink in the evening, my aunt's doctor told her to have a shot of liquor every night. She was on lots of medications, but she enjoyed tasting different after dinner drinks. She had many terrible surgeries but she lived into her 80s.
As long as your liver and kidney test are good, and your doctor is ok with it, then I would enjoy it. I may have a drink every couple of months, if that. Most of the time I am on too many medications to even bother.
Hope your thumb and hand get better soon. -RJ
