Hey everyone!
I enjoy it when folks post good news so..
Even though my bone density test results sucked..and I have to take a new Med for that if I wmt to keep taking the prednisone...which I really do..
I had one of my best new Dr. Appointments ever!
First I was disappointed I had misunderstood and it was a male Dr. ( nuthin' wrong with that..just prefer women when they're new:-)
But..this man was so nice. He LISTENED...AND he heard..:-) :-) :-)
He acted like he had all the time in the world.
Just a very good "bedside" ,manner.
PLUS..the bone density test and lab work....were right across the hall !...and done right then!
AND..this one is half the distance away of my next choice for a rheumy!!!
So..even though I feel like crawling under a rock..cause I still have yesterdays yuck goin'...and..I have to stay at a lower pred dose than helps most..
I'm VERY surprised and pleased to say..I have a new rheumy..and..he's a REALLY GOOD DR!!!!!!!
I hope EVERYONE has at least one good Dr on their side.
Hugs.....jc

So mad at Xfinity! They're trying to charge me $115 per month for the same service I had been paying $50 the last four years. I took the equipment to UPS for shipping and cancelled my subscription today! Next door was a cookie shop called Crumbl. I had heard of it before but never went in until today. I don't need one more sugar fix, but maybe it will help with my sad) grieving heart....$15...

I know this is stupid, but after not being able to find a job after graduation for almost two years, I ended up just taking an online teaching job because I couldn't find anything in my field. I was trying to get out of teaching and I feel so devastated. I felt this crushing feeling when I signed the paperwork and when I was in the meetings. I know that sounds so dramatic but it is how I felt. It...

I had a wonderful rheumy down in Fla. I haven't been able to find an even decent one up here in NJ. Good ones seem to be few and far between.
Sorry about your BD results- I had to take osteoporosis meds when I was on higher doses of prednisone. I'm sure I probably should still be taking them, but I don't really want to find out.
Good news! Yay!

I'm looking forward to going to a wonderful rheumy...my primary has already sent the referral, but waiting on insurance to process. He is my husband's dr...and I know him from years ago taking care of his patients. So I KNOW what I am getting this time...can't wait! The bone density scan and lab are all in his office as well.
I hope you continue to have a great relationship with your new rheumy, JC. I think that takes a big burden off of you.
Love and hugs,
Lori
I have had my share of awful drs. I am so thankful to God right now for my PM team and my ortho spine surgeon. They are both amazing!!

I'm so happy you found a decent doctor! :D
It is amazing how fast things can go from bad to worse with these diseases and injuries.
I hope you are getting some relief from your symptoms.
Thanks for sharing your good doctor news!
Best.
