You're not being a baby and you can talk all you want. Good Luck with your knee surgery. I will say prayers for you and the Dr. doing the surgery tonight. I'm sorry you have to go through this at such a young age. It's not fun and you have every right to be nervous. We all get nervous before a surgery, regardless of whether or not we know we'll be ok or not, it's human nature.

I'm always nervous before a surgery and I'm an old hand at it, doesn't matter. I hope and pray that you can get some rest tonight, but if you can't one of us is usually up and on the board.

God please watch over lovebaby and help her through this knee replacement surgery she's about to have tomorrow morning and dear lord watch and guide her surgeon's hands so that he is able to give lovebaby the relief she so desperately needs from the pain in her bad knee, help him do this surgery to the best of his ability and give lovebaby a brand new working knee. Please dear lord help lovebaby come out of this surgery and heal quickly so that she suffers no more. I ask of this in Jesus Holy Name, Amen.

Hi lovebaby, you have every right to be scared and that's what we are here for so vent away. I have had three knee replacements. The first time I had both knees done at the same time. & I was terrified I could not imagine being able to stand up on them the next day. The day before a nurse called me to get some info turned out she had the same procedure done and was able to put my mind at ease. I know your scared Darlin but this surgery really isn't that bad. They will get you up and walking in Tues. I would assume if you have a PM that you have talked to them about the meds you will need after surgery, if not that's ok they should keep you comfortable. My left knee healed beautifully. I had mine done around 6-7 yrs ago. & I am even able to sit. With my leg bent under me and no pain in the knee. The most important thing is that you do your rehab exercises religiously it will make the difference between healing correctly and not. I'll be sending up prayers for you for healing and strength and prayers for all the medical personel that they have the wisdom and compassion to see you through this. Please keep us updated as to how you are doing.

that is really young for knee replacement...they said for me to wait because the replacement knee only lasts maybe ten years and then need another replacement and then 7 yrs on second one then third is usually just not commonly done...sorry to scare you...hugs bill

They actually said my knee replacement would last about 30 years so we will see I'm waiting for them to wheel me back

Hi sweetheart!! You will do beautifully!! I will keep you in my prayers. Definitely ditto on the recovery physical therapy part. It is vital that you do the exercises they give you religiously because doing this will allow you to have full range of motion in your new knee!! My sis in law had this done at the age of 22 and did beautifully!! Take your pain meds on a schedule in the recovery period and this way you can be up and around!!
