Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
I joined in May but have read the boards for the past 2 years for answers. This too is huge blessing to me and love how everyone understands what living with pain is and does to a person.
I joined in January of 2011. Started with the Degenerative Disc Board.
I could not own chronic pain for while. Guess I was in denial. I still read on the board and finally joined in.
I once told a dancing cow on Meebo Chat that I didn't think I belonged on the board and she told me to be careful and think about that. She was very wise.

this group seemed to apply with my primary problem and to be the most supportive, so i stuck with it as i need as much positive reinforcement as possible to get through life as it is.
I joined two days ago because my husband suggested I find a CP support group. I have found it lovely so far and have really appreciated all the kindness pouring forth.
I have had migraines since I was 12 and began to suffer from painful ovarian cysts about a year and a half ago, though it took a while to get a diagnosis. Now I am just trying to work through pain and the exhaustion that comes with it.
Hugs!
I joined DS on the Myofascial Pain Syndrome board in may. I've been lurking all the boards for a long time.
I also have Sjrogrens Syndrome and possibly Lupus.
Whatever the label, I have PAIN
Welcome to all the new people!
Most of you I know....a couple I have just spoken to on the board.

I joined in September 2011. I first joined the RSD group, but soon found this wonderful cp group. Like jc said, it is my lifeline. I have received so much support here.
Hello to the "new" folks and the old folks. This is a great group!!
I joined in March of this year. At a dark moment when I was surfing the web I found others like me looking for support and offering support. It has been awesome.
I have multiple medical challenges all of them equal pain in some form or fashion.
Welcome to all the newbies. -RJ
I am Autumn. I joined in January of 2011 because I was getting ready for a year of 2 major surgeries and had to stop working. I knew I needed to find some friends to talk to because I really do not have a big family and hubby just doesn't quite get it.
I have found so much support and kindness here that I could not imagine living without DS!!
Great post JC!!
I'm Sandy and for the life of me, I can't remember when I joined the CP group. I think it was Feb. of this year. I started out at the RSD group but read a post that the CP board was much more active.
Plus it addresses the main problem I'm having: pain!
This group reminds me of the old Lupus group I once was active in, and I still have friends from that group.
It's a Godsend to me.....
Sandy
I actually have to go now, because my neck is really hurting and I an type anymore, but i hope to become more active!
