Just think...only 17 more days of Xmas music! Then we'll have eleven months of freedom. I just spoke to one of the sweet ladies in the doctor's office...she has to listen to it all day long and it's driving her nuts. I had to purge my brain with the classic rock station after I got out of there.
A little is OK, but like they used to say years ago...."Too much of anything is not too good."
If the kids set me off or something sets me off I cant even enjoy the music I love.
Its the neurotransmitter enzyme depletion function of ME/CFS RichieD.
Its very similar to the muscular skeletal stress enzyme responce that our "tripped" immune systems signals initiate altered transmission enzym/ transmitter chemicals and receive altered transmission enzym/ transmitter signals.

Dont worry its not primerally an Endogenous (meaning from within the body) Psycological or Depressive issue, its an exogenousmultiple viral affect (plus retrovirus) that sets up this chain reaction in immune system with b-cells and the resultant unusual neuri transmitter and enzyme balances.
When I was working they used to play Christmas music over the intercom and I thought I would start screaming my head off after a while. I finally had to get my own headset and listen to my music over the company. LOL
The only Christmas music I can stand is my children singing it to me. That is the sweetest sound ever!
I'm more Train, REM, etc.
I`am 50somthing and I have to admit I too love Taylor Swift music..
There is something to her sound that is soo soothing.

Someday we'll find it, (the causes of ME/CFS) the rainbow connection.
The lovers, the dreamers and me.
That just makes me smile extra big. My boyfriend sings that almost exactly like Kermit on purpose. It sounds so funny that I have trouble getting through the first few lines without giggling, even though it is a bit of a tear jerker.
I have found that going to these sing alongs gives me this great boost. My energy levels will sometimes be a little bit up for days. It doesn't make my symptoms disappear, but it's a lot like the opposite of a crash.
