I am forever thinking up better ways to explain myself. Sometimes I put in ways to defend myself right in the explanation. Like being quick to say this is a physical illness.
I hope your new doctor is better than the last.

I've kept my little credit-card-sized list in my wallet since reading that and it's made it easier to explain the situation to doctors, friends, family, co-workers, you name it. I highly recommend.
They may have memorized enough to pass tests in med school, but they missed the part where they were supposed to have learned how to be doctors. And they certainly don't understand the reality of brain fog.

When I get an adverse response, I need to know if this is something I can simply ride through or if I need to get my butt to a hospital.
I need someone who can look at my history, put the pieces together and formulate a solution. Lord knows I am not capable of that level of critical thinking most of the time.

She is now suggesting a moderated detox plan where she can minimize the crashes with shots etc.
When I think of how easily I could have put myself into grave danger, I am unnerved.
Every little bit helps.
Please keep us posted - let us know how it goes with the new doc. Fingers crossed for you!
