My youngest son called drunk again last night. His girlfriend dumped him ( I was afraid of this), & he said he is done with women. This is his first girlfriend, I know he is hurting. He is so soft-hearted & vulnerable. I suspect she didn't like the drinking, who could blame her? I told him this is his first GF, & he cant expect to find THE one the first time. He says he is ok with being depressed also, after I begged him to get on an anti depressant & get help for his drinking. I feel myself becoming estranged from him too. I asked him to please not to call drunk again last night as I have MANY times before. Im glad he still calls us to talk, get advice, etc., but never takes heed of it. I feel so helpless & hopeless today. I have been praying SO hard & I feel like God is not listening to me. I think there are so many horrible things going on in the world, maybe God doesn't have time for my personal problems. I started praying to the angels & saints awhile ago. I again feel like such a failure as a mother. 2 of my sons are SO messed up. My husband & I tried to set a good example for them. The drinking my husband exposed him to over at his shop wasn't a good example. I'm trying so hard not to resent my husband, but it is hard, esp. after a phone call from our son. I am being disciplined by God, I know this. I am being punished not only for my shortcomings, but those of my ancestors. I have begged God not to make my children pay for my sins. Sorry, but this is the only place I can lay it out & not be judged. Thank you all.
