I'm so glad for you! Wonderful to see that miracles happen! I thought I remember somewhere that you've never seen your GD. Was that the 1st time? How did that go? How old is she? I'm praying that everything continues to go well for your family.

There is a famous quote that says, "God's answers are wiser than our prayers." And how true that is. Every prayer we pray is heard in His ears. He answers prayer...and yes, sometimes we wait a long time for a reply; and sometimes it is not the way that we thought, but looking back, in retrospect, we know that He always knows what is right for us, what is best and His timing is perfect.

So glad that His timing can help the healing of your DH as we as the healing of your family issues.

Yes, this was the first time we have met our granddaughter. It was a very good therapy for my husband. My husband is still in the hospital until they are sure everything is working normally (he has to pass gas and be able to eat solid food).

But this afternoon I had a car accident. No one was hurt, was side swiped so the side door is all smashed in. Now I need to deal with insurance, adjusters, getting it fixed. I need prayer for strength to get through of all of this. Thanks friends.

It was a bit strange to see my granddaughter. She is a darling little girl and very loving, but I have not been a grandmother so it isn't something, at least for me, that just happens instantly. I do hope we will see more of them and our relationship will grow.

I'm just dealing with being overwhelmed with all that is going on the past six weeks with my DH's 2 surgeries and all the medical paperwork, our ES of 7 years reconnecting and now the accident, with more paperwork. I have to admit I am having a little "why me" pity party with myself, so tonight God and I will have to chat really hard about helping me turn myself around and keep my eyes focused on Him

Hope you are ok from your accident! Take care of yourself too!! I don't have grandchildren, yet, so I'm not sure how I would react. I've been in a delivery room when my niece and nephew were born and I held them when they were minutes old-so I have that experience. I'm not sure I will ever know any GC's since I'm such an outcast to my ED;s. I'm so happy that you have your family back and are rebuilding a future with them, but I'm also jealous-human nature kicks in sometimes. Honestly, I hope this is the beginning of a wonderful new life with your ES and his family. Hugs from Texas my friend.

texassunshine - I know what you are saying about the jealous-human nature kicking in. Today after my car accident, I sort of fell apart. It has been such a good week with Al's surgery, then ES and family visiting, but today with DH not being able to pass gas in order to be able to have solid food and then the accident, I was falling into my own pity party - why me - am I such a terrible person - that all this is happening to me. I would never ever want anyone else to not have only the best in health, wealth and family, but -- well you know how that goes.

Now God and I will need to chat a bit when I go to bed asking his forgiveness for my human low and asking Him to help me rise above it.

He used to live about 10 miles from us but now it is more like 75 miles.

After a successful surgery and many days in the hospital, including a blood transfusion, Al told me this morning that he will most likely be dismissed on Saturday. He is really looking forward to getting home.

Yesterday I had a car accident; no one was hurt but my van is pretty smashed on the side door. Because no one was hurt, I must be thankful.

Thank you for your good thoughts and prayers. God continues to be blessing us, even through the mishaps of a car accident.
