Today my DH had surgery to remove his cancerous kidney. The surgery went well. Now we pray that he will be chosen for the clinical trial to target the other small cancer cells.
I took a step of faith and texted our ES about his dad's surgery and said I wished he could be with us but asked him to keep his dad in prayer. He texted back and asked if he could come to the hospital. We hugged for a long time. Our ES spent 4 hours sitting with us until my DH was out of recovery. It will be baby steps but God has a plan and I will wait patiently.

What an amazing answer to prayer, dear friend, that your ES came to be with you and DH. God is working in him. It shows how much he loves you both. Please keep

Then ES texted to see if he could come again and how was dad. He not only came but brought his wife and little daughter. They all hugged my DH and then me and stayed for 2 hours visiting. It is so much to take in; it has been 7 years since I have seen them and my ES seems to be so happy to have connected and tells us how much he loves us.
Praying this isn't a dream.
What a blessing that your DIL joined your ES and brought your gc. This shows that they had a true heart change. Please continue to keep us posted on your DH's condition and the progress with your son and family. We need to be encouraged.
