What is the difference between Lucifer and Satan, considering they're one being?
The answer is that Lucifer at one time was one of the greatest angels in the heavenly realm. He was even more powerful than Michael and he was given much authority in heaven. In Ezekiel 28, there was a prophesy against the King of Tyre. In that chaper, verses 11-19 is dedicated to Lucifer's cosmic demotion. This portion of Scripture goes into length about the things Lucifer once had in heaven before his fall. Then it goes on to say what will happen to him.
Satan is now his current title after his demotion. So, ultimately, what brought about this demotion? It can be summed up in one word: pride. Anyway, Isaiah 14 also gives a good indication to his fall, along with his future position.
To conclude, one might ask when this happened? Many scholers and I tend to believe the time this fall occured was between Genesis 1:1-2. "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters." Where did this darkness come from? The fall of the once powerful Lucifer happened then. The event was in eternity past.

"Lucifer" means "Light-Bringer" or "Day Star." Ezekiel calls him "the anointed cherub who covers," which means he was one of the chief angels whose wings covered God's throne in heaven. He is specifically shown to be a created being, possibly the most beautiful, wise, and perfect of God's creations. The KJV mentions Lucifer in Isaiah 14:12-15 as son of the morning cut to the ground that weekend the nation. Satan is the father of the lie.
The scriptures indicate that the creature known as Satan was not always called by that name. Rather this descriptive name was given to him because of his taking a course of opposition to resist to God. The cherub Lucifer was given the duty to watch over the world and when he deceived Adam and Eve he began his opposition to God. At that time he was still allowed to approach God in the heavens. But God sent the Arch Angel Michael to through him out of heaven as has been done. The Arch Angel is Christ Jesus so you cannot compare the two heavenly creatures. Obviously Michael was stronger to have won the battle in heaven. And in Godâ??s time the earth will be rid of Satan also. Since Jesus was not created but Gods only begotten Son and Satan just a cherub you cannot compare the two. Michael remained faithful to God in heaven and when sent to earth by God as a sacrifice for our sins.
Ezekeil 28:12-19
Though directed to the human â??king of tyreâ?? evidently parallels with the course taken by the spiritual son of God who first sinned. The pride of â??king of Tyreâ?? him making himself a god, his being called a â??cherubâ?? and the reference to Eden the garden of God certainly corresponded to Biblical information concerning Satan the Devil, who became puffed up with pride, is linked to the serpent in Eden, and is called the god of this system of things. 1 Tim 3:6, Gen. 3:1-5, 14,15, Re. 12:9, 2 Cor. 4:4.
The word Trinity is not in the Holy Scriptures but man made. God is our creator and Jesus is his only begotten Son who does Godâ??s will. He has always been beside God. The Holy Spirit is what God uses to help us. This is why we pray for Godâ??s Holy Spirit in the name of Christ Jesus. They are one united in that it all consists of doing Godâ??s will. Jesus was in heaven when God started creating the universe, even before Lucifer/Satan was created.
1 Tim. 2v5 "For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus....."
verse 7 "for which I was appointed a preacher and an apostleâ??I am speaking the truth in Christ and not lyingâ??a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth."

In Isaiah, Isaiah is telling about a prophecy, it's about King Nebakanezer, King of Babylon. He's telling us something that is going to happen.
and again........ get a copy of the Hebrew bible, the bible was first written in Hebrew. there is NO lucifer in the ORINGINAL bible. we know that the word "lucifer" was added in the bible at a later date. we know that........ and how do we know that???? the ORINGINAL bible does not have that in there at all. you just cant read something and take it for what you see right away, you have to fully understand the "truth".
lucifer is a latin word. why would it be in the Hebrew bible? its not...
1 TIM 4 v 1 Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of "demons"................. demons, get it?????

Satan comes from the Hebrew satan, which means "opponent" or "adversary. The Scriptures mention that in heaven Satan was in the truth but when he thought he could be like God and became Godâ??s opposer then Satan is used.
Origin of Satan: The Scriptures indicate known as Satan did not always have that name. Rather, this descriptive name was given to him because of his taking of course of opposition and resistance to God. The name he had before is not given. God is the only Creator, and his activity is perfect, with no injustice or unrighteousness. (De32:4) Therefore, the one becoming Satan was, when created, a perfect righteous creature of God. He is a spirit person, for he appeared in heaven in the presence of God. (Job chapts 1,2 Re 12:9) â??That one was a manslayer when he began, and he did not stand fast in the truth, because truth is not in him.â?? (John 8:44 - 1 John3:8) Jesus here shows that Satan was once in the truth, but forsook it. Beginning with his first overt act turning Adam and Eve away from God, he was a manslayer, for he thereby brought about the death of Adam and Eve which in turn, brought sin and death to their offspring. (Ro 5:12) Throughout the Scriptures the qualities and actions attributed to him could be attributed only to a person, not to an abstract principle of evil. It is clear that Jews, and Jesus and his disciples, knew that Satan existed as a person. Even though he is not ever allowed in heaven again he still has a few other angels that were thrown out of heaven with him misleading mankind to turn us away from God and still processes power beyond what a human can as he roars around like a roaring lion.
God created us with free will. It is up to each individual what their belief is. God does not make anyone choose him against their will. He wants loyal servants that choose the truth he has given us. I use the KJV and the NWT. I can get past Lucifer in the KJV because the text is still a good translation. The NWT is great for reference and I like its accuracy but I can read the same thing from the KJV as some donâ??t like the NWT. The NWT doesnâ??t put Lucifer. I believe the NKJV leaves it out to but I donâ??t like that translation. I had a Prodistant (sp?) friend point out some changes that went against to many of the original translated scriptures. I need look no further I have found the truth.
I can respect what you choose to believe moore.. There is no purpose to battle about beliefs you canâ??t force someone to believe like you. I certainly donâ??t agree with your opening post or the you tube video. As I have noted here as without the use of Lucifer the light bringer or son of the morning is Satan before he forsook the truth.

Jesus is God, because only God could create the universe. Jesus was not created by God. Jn 1:1-3 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him, and without him was not anything made that was made."
Jn3:30-31 "He must increase, but I must decrease. He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all."
1John7 "For there are three that bear record in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one."
If Jesus is not God, then who is he? A man specifically chosen for the job of salvation? (Then he couldn't be a perfect sacrifice). Or is he an angel of God?
kiwicsi. that answer is simple, and i've explained it in my past posts. Jesus was born a man, separte from God. John 1 is talking about the Word. the Word is not Jesus persay, but the Word of God manafested in Christ. "in the beginning was the Word." it means the Word of God, it's a combination of things, like his teaching, gospel. Paul taught the "Word of God" to everyone. how we should live in God's name, how we should act, etc.........
in my above posts and other topics on this board, i've explained that Jesus is separate from God. it doesnt make sense that Jesus is God. there is no reason for it.
So if he isn't God, then who is he specifically?
the Word is the Word of God, which is a part of God
the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God, which is a part of God
and yes, THOSE things are one........ because that' s what they are talking about. all thru the bible it mentions that God is the father and Jesus is His son. simple.....
Kiwicsi here is why I do not agree with you in God and Jesus being the same identity. Even though Jesus was with God in creating all things they cannot be only one identity per Mark 13:32 or Jesus would know the coming of Godâ??s execution of judgment.
At Mark 13:32, Jesus Christ said: â??But of that day or that hour [of Godâ??s coming execution of judgment] no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.â??
I found this to explain Jesus Christ and who he is. Yes the verses you say are good as Jesus was there helping God create all things. Jesus also did everything according to his Fathers will.

Only begotten as applied to Jesus. The scriptures teach that God's people are "sons of God" (Rom. 8: 14). Modernists contend that Jesus was simply another son of God. Not so! Jesus' Sonship was understood as indicative of deity (Jn. 10: 36, 38). Monogenes is used of Jesus' Sonship. Jesus is the "only begotten Son" (I Jn. 4: 9). As God's monogenes Jesus enjoyed unique glory (Jn. 1: 14). The only begotten declared God (Jn. 1: 18). Jesus being of the same essential nature as the Father could reveal God as no other could (Jn. 14: 8-11). The only begotten is the ultimate expression of God's love (Jn. 3: 16, I Jn. 4: 9). Moreover, we must believe in the only begotten Son of God (Jn. 3: 18, 16).
Hence, Jesus is uniquely and singularly the Son of God - the only one of his kind. To realize the only begotten Son of God gave his life for you and me is indeed most humbling.
in the bible it talks about one God and the mediator between man and God, which is Christ Jesus........ (hence two people)
Jesus prays to "his" "father". not himself......... (hence two people)
through out the ages, man made that "word" a demonic creature.
Jesus called Peter, "satan". so is Peter actually satan???? i dont think so..... Peter did something Jesus didnt like. that's all. and that's what that word means...... he probably was calling Peter a slanderer or something like that. satan and devil are just words. man made that "word" a creature. you should look at the hebrew bible...
