Ignore the whole thing.

You could ignore the calls or just tell her that you already hear this from your mother and don't need it repeated by anyone else.

It must be a real PIA to get these calls.

I love blueviolet's answer. After that, if the calls continue, don't answer them. This job is hard enough without other people sticking their noses into it.

Oh my, what a busy body. That takes a lot of nerve and a lack of manners. Invite her to take your mom to her home and care for her if she is that concerned. If not taking her calls doesn't work, remember you don't have to be polite to rude people.

ok...there are now 2 people I am avoiding by phone. My mom's cousin has left me several messages that mom is not answering her phone. I am calling her back and telling her that if there was a problem, the facility would have called me and then I am going to give her the number to the building and she can call THEM if she is concerned. yay me!

My Mil has decided that she wants to share a room with other's......very, very odd. She is in a very nice large room and she is not that social. She is social with family but not with people she has just met. She is more of a one on one. We had been promised that they would never move anyone in with her......and now she want's to move in with someone??? That is NEVER going to work....I will bet the bank on it.

And trust me when I tell you that the new roommate will be begging to move. She has the night light on and the TV all night.

But the sound on the TV is never on. Still trying to figure that one out. :-)

All the resident's were watching TV in the common area...but yet my Mil stayed in her room.....watching silent programs. lol

I agree, tread lightly. But this could have a huge negative impact on the person who moves in with your MIL, so you might want to give the management your opinion as a heads up.

They seem like very nice people who work there but I've never met the management. From what I gather from DH and daughter's, it's all about the money, so if they can pack in one more person that is good for them. I think their limit is 9.

God bless everyone who is dealing with an Aging Parent. Never thought it would be like this. I got a eyes wide open moment when my Dad got sick. How was I ever that naive that I didn't see any of this coming?? But it is here and I need to learn how to deal with it.

I hate to even say the word's but my Mom will be next. She is 86 and still driving to visit from Louisiana, cooking all the time for us and she loves having everyone visit but she is having such a hard time walking as she needs surgery but won't do it. :-)
