My mother is suffering from dementia for one year and also she is physically disabled. She does not know what is she saying things that are not actually exists or happens. Whenever I try to say her about fact then she gets angry at me. She does not care herself. Please anyone suggest me about other affordable senior housing that also includes memory care home.

try contacting the agency on aging in your area....it does not help for me to tell you about places in MO....you live in Florida....you need to keep your searches local to your area.....look on yellow pages.com for agency on aging and senior care facilities.....you can google them with your zipcode too....or use something that gives feedback like yelp.....I hope you get care for your mom....hugs bill

I would think (I may be wrong) that florida would have THE MOST choices in the 50 states...
google, yelp, is there a council on aging? Local support groups at hospitals....and un announced visits to a facility...even if it is to walk in and make the appointment to see the place...(you can see if it smells, if people are just being parked in a room and left...if it is clean etc)

pbs..public television...has a blog called "next avenue" and of course, AARP, may all have stuff that can help.

You got some good advice about the agency thing, so I'll comment on the memory thing.

My mother in law is 95, and gets confused from time to time. We "correct" her because that is what she wants. The term my wife (who is a nurse) uses is "re-orient".

My mother had dementia and often got confused. We tried correcting her, but I could tell that it hurt her. She knew that she was confused, but she could not figure it out. So with her we went with the flow and talked around her comments, or worked with them and then moved onto other topics.

Two different people, same problem, two different solutions.

I am sorry you are having to deal with this.
