Why we caregivers lose our sanity:

18 dialysis treatments and 18 doctor appointments, medical procedures, tests, surgeries in the next 34 days.....no wonder we go crazy!! Yes, some of those are mine too.....I have to take care of myself once in a while! Have a great day my fellow caregivers!!

Oh...I'm so sorry you are going thru this stress Kiddo. When did life become so hard for us caregivers? I seem to spend most of my time sitting in Dr. office waiting rooms also......Blah !

I hope and pray everything comes back good and you can have some peace of mind my friend.

That's a lot - on top of all the daily caregiving chores too! Praying you have strength for the journey! But I am glad you are taking care of yourself along the way! Good job!

What a great opportunity to go out and talk to strangers,, we do! Specially I love those pharma reps, they always feel uncomfortable while waiting and they love to talk about their product. Ive met some very interesting people like that and when I return to that office, if I see them, I cant remember their name but I remember their injury or disease and people love to talk about themselves. On my latest trips I met, mother and sister of a local comedian I love. A rep from one of my meds that was sponsoring an activity I was going to attend the following weekend, so when I arrived he greeted me by my name,,, super. Avoid talking about your day to day thats boring, ask questions and you'll have fun.secretaries or nurses, they need humor and cookies, bring some.

That is so cute, talking to pharma reps! You're right they get antsy and bored, sitting on the edge of their seats. I do admire your cheerful attitude about waiting rooms. I usually do crossword puzzles. I keep a bag full of things to do at the ready for emergencies.

I think we just added about 8 more doctors appts in the next 3 weeks....he had surgery last week, and they took his thyroid out along with two lymph nodes. He has papillary cancer and it was in two lymph nodes. We will be seeing an endocrinologist next week to findout treatment options......poor guy, he's had one thing after another and is completely wiped out this week. Dr. Appointments are like rabbits......the more you have the more you get!!!
