Hi Melody jane.... don't we have exciting lives?!! Lol

We are in the process of giving the care agency( who send carers for our son) a kick up the bottom. They are not fulfilling the contract so i havd no consistancy with the support i am getting. I am constantly making plans only to break them because a carer doesn't show. We dohave a lovely regular team but we are hoping for our son to be independant with support so if anything happens to us, our son will be fine.
My daughter is off to university this saturday. I have mollicoddled her a bit so hope living independantly wont be too much of a shock.
Oh and at the tender age of 43 i am having to do pregnancy tests! Both children grown up and now this! My doctor ways it is either stress or the menopause as test coming back negative but i am never late so hoping it is a false alarm!!! Eek!

Hi daisydip! I'll hope for the beginnings of menopause for you. I started with irregularity in my mid 40's. Seems as if women are going into menopause earlier & earlier as the generations go by. I read somewhere it has to do with the hormones in our food & dairy. Does anyone know why we women go through "Menopause"? Shouldn't it be "Women-o-pause" instead? LOL!

Dear thriver, i lost my dad in August. It was expected as he had terminal lung cancer but it took 4 months from diagnosis. It was also a relief to see an end to his suffering but like you once the shock and relief wears off i'm left with a deep sadness for the person i have lost. My heart goes out to you xx

I have never been late with my period ever so am quite concerned but as two tests have come back negative i am hoping that this is just a false alarm. I was 11 when i started so wouldn't be surprised to have an early menopause. X

I have had a busy summer my husband had a shunt put in to drain the fluid from his brain and now can sit up by himself and put his own cloths on. My son finally got into rehabilitations at the beginning of September he will be there for a month if he show improvement they will keep him longer if not it is back to care. I pray he shows the improvement I live to see. I painted the whole inside of my house and have just finished bringing in all the produce from my garden. So right now things are good with the world.

What's up??? Well, hubby is getting another infection in his lungs. He's been off the antibiotics for two weeks and looks like we are back to square one.....on the flip side he is now on a Fentynal patch for the pain he has. A hip replacement he got 5 years ago has now basically failed, but another hip replacement could be too much for him given his medical issues. He is getting some relief from the pain now. That is a good thing...however, in 4 weeks he has hernia repair surgery....and then today I had an employee quit on me. So now I struggle more with maintaining our business and juggling my husband's medical issues. Life is crazy, it's a wonder I am not!! lol

We have been having a lot of dr. appointments between Ed's Parkinson's disease and my needing to have a toenail removed. Then I had to go for labs and to the dr. for 6 month check up. Ed is finally getting some relief from stronger and time released meds given to him on Friday. I noticed this evening that his tremors in his left hand and his chin are much less. This is a great improvement from before when he never had any quiet from the tremors except when he was asleep.
I have battled diabetes for a little over 2 years. Within one year, I got myself off all the diabetic meds. All my lab numbers came in just where the dr. wants them. Hurray
