My exes parents got divored and both remarried.

My wifes parents are both divorced. Her dads been divorced 4 times.

Both my parents and his celebrated their 50th anniv.
We both lost our fathers within 1 year of each other and neither mother has dated much less looked for another companion.
His one brother was married and divorced twice. His youngest brother was divorced and has remarried. His oldest brother and life partner have split up.
As for me - 2 married sisters - 1 for 20 yrs, the other 10, the oldest is a recent widow after 6 yrs of marriage.

my stbx: his mother is on her 4th marriage -- might be the one! his father abandoned himwhen he was 2, we found him when he was 44, he got seriousy abandoned by him again when he was 46 -- he had not talked to his lone brother in more han a year -- as soon as we broke up, he sought out his brother who, as luck would have it, is divorcing and has 3 little kids (brothers in divorce).

WE were together for 26.5 years, 24 of marriage.

His Dad is on wife #4. Yes, for all of you that complain about the mother in law.. I had 3. (I never knew #2..it was like 2 months of marriage)

No one in my family until this generation has gotten divorce. Hindus don't do divorce. The bride will throw herself on the funeral pyre to show her devotion to the marriage.
You stick with your spouse forever.

Some other Asian cultures. you don't divorce.. you burn the bride if you are unhappy.. sorry.. had to let that slip out.

My children are young, and seem that getting divorced is kinda normal. Their Dad has said he would like to get married again, this was before the our divorce was finalized.. lol
Anyhow.. the girls are taking bets on how many times their dad will get married, cos Grandpa gets married a lot and Dad is like Grandpa...sheeeeeeesh.

My stbx's mother is on her third marriage and I can't believe it's lasted this long. His dad is on his second marriage, it also appears to be a little rocky.

In the xs family there may have been 2 divorces among the cousins and all. This will be the first divorce in his immediate family -quite the scandal but not the first.
Now my family; it would be easier to count the ones still married. Still I know the reason for this divorce has nothing to do with the divorce rate in my family.

My dad never divorced my mother or help pay for the five children he left with her. Sh past away and he is remarried now. Most of the divorced relatives in my family never remarry.

Both of our parents are still married, mine almost 60 years. Stbx 55 years. All three my siblings still married to same person, all three of my husbands still married to same person. Yeah this is really fun to be the first.
