Wife's Infidelity

For the past month my wife has been texting a male coworker. She wasn't honest with me about the conversations and always said she was talking to her dad. I confronted her about it when she stepped outside to check the mail 15 minutes later she didn't come back. I went outside and she was on the phone with him. She says there is nothing going on and he's just a friend. When I asked to see the conversations she said she wouldn't be controlled like that. We decided to take a break. Am I being unreasonable?

Oh and if just a friend tven no need to hide the conversations. U should actually know him too

If I could go back and save my marriage rather than break it to pieces after an affair was revealed... I would. Divorce is awful and is awful for my kids. Consider if she is willing to be honest about what is lacking at home and go to counseling to save your relationship?

CC61 counselling doesn't save relationships; that's a broad statement.

Clearly, she is involved with this man in a manner that is unhealthy to your marriage. I'd bet she's either in a physical or emotional affair with him. Why did you take a break and not get to the bottom of it? Who decided to take the break and where is everyone living now?

"I won't be controlled like that," when said in that context translates to I'll do as I please, and he comes first over you, know that.

This just happened to me. She doesn't understand that this is still cheating. It's unbelievable as to how serious she thinks she is in a relationship through text messages and phone calls. She has only met him once face to face before I found out. Total resentment and everything is my fault because she was unhappy and fell for the game. She didn't understand that this was a fantasy and not her daily life....she was being fed whatever he knew she wanted to hear and she fell for it. Now she moved out to her parents. Let me know if you want to chat about what is going on. I've been on this train now for almost five months and think I have finally figured out her game she was playing. Trust me it hurts but it will get better....way better. Try the idea of counseling with her but if it doesn't work just know that there any many other women out there that are looking to spend time with someone who cares. Hey, you got someone to fall in love with you once....and you can do it again.
