Why does he continue?

Why does he keep texting me after he’s moved on with a new girl? I broke off the engagement to stay with my kids and ensure they’re ok instead of just jumping into another marriage. The previous marriage was abusive. So I ended things with my new relationship since I was not ready. He keeps saying I can’t forgive you for breaking up the engagement but I want to be cool. Why if he’s making bed on—which really hurts by the way

So sorry you are having a rough time for awhile now. Your post about him 3 days ago, you said you were texting him non stop for a week. So, I am assuming he is just now replying back to you? The kids aren't his, right? Then I don't see why you have to have any contact with him at all. Block his number. Don't text him. Don't call him. Focus on you, and your kids. So sorry, and big hugs to you. I am sure this is hard for you. But staying away from him is really going to help you to get over him. Try it, you'll see.

Yes that’s what I need to do. It’s hard not to reply or text him since I’m obviously still in love. - sigh, guess time heals all.

Yes, it sure is very hard. But, I think it is the best thing for you and your well being. Why keep opening up the wound? It just makes you stuck. I know it's going to be hard, but just try to have No Contact and take it day by day, and see how you feel after a couple days. Keep busy with other things. Focus on yourself, your kids, your life. Good luck! You can do this. Have to move on eventually, you know? :)

    I'm horrified!  I knew my insurance would go up due to getting a new car but I didn't expect it to go up over $2,000.  I did have an accident with the snow/ice in the winter.  I was just telling my brother that I have had my car since March 2, 2026 and have only spent $75 on an oil change.  Now this!  I called another insurance company and their quote was over $4,000.  I guess I have to pay...
