Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
I used to spend weekends with my mom, and if I was going to be home during a weekend, the ex would go visit friends.
The good news is, you'll be able to spend more time with your son.
The ex and I established ground rules to living in the same house. Talk to her about ground rules to make it easier on both of you.
The constant reminder that nothing is as it once was......sucks. I am blissfully numb most days....
Hugs and good luck to you!
And, btw, you have a rabid squirrel on your shoulder.
I echo the others; I would stay with your mom. You can help her out, do odd jobs and things like that. Living with your mom will be a lot less stressful than living with your stbx.

I haven't spent more than 2 weeks in a row with my son in the past 2 1/2 years, so I'm really looking forward to that. And I love my mom, but I can't imagine staying there, in my sisters tiny old room, for the 6 months to a year that it may take to sell the house...
Oh, and the stbx took in the skwerl when it was very young and helpless. I bonded with it but had to go back to work. Then it bit her (hehe, sensed evil) and her brother, so they tossed it back out. I'm gonna get another one someday :)
