My opinions and definitions of love have changed dramatically since my divorce. I used to think Love = unconditional love, never having to say you're sorry.. together til death do us part..(every cliche and Disney ending rolled into ONE big ball)..

Now I believe its a head game you play on yourself , convincing yourself you need this other person for simple survival.. you wont be able to breathe if they arent there.. when in reality life can and will go on..

either way its just an illusion, on a good day it eventually fades and vanishes, on a bad day it turns into the most putrid and vile hatred..

Honestly, I think if you are on BU&D, that you are likely speaking from recent (relative) pain or dissapointment in a relationship. So, you, like most of us here (me included) may currently have a skewed view that does not necessarily reflect all reality.

In otherwords - I believe in Love. I dont think it is just an opinion. I think it is real and tangible - The love you have for your child, your parents, your friends, your pets - that is real, not an opinion, right?

Why should romantic love be any less real, simply because of the dissapointment and pain of loss sometimes...doesnt make it less real for me.

And one day (deep breathe) I will love again - and it wont be an opinion - it will be as real.

ATM this quote is the closest thing I can think of on how I see love.......
