my children,

a woman with fingernails scratching my back where I cannot reach when I ask nicely.

At this point, that is pretty much it. If you calculate the COST of the sex in emotional terms, you might not miss it as much as you think.

Our lists are so very similar!

I have, however, even gotten over the sex thing. It's just not worth it, given all the other BS on the first list! And I've managed to convince myself that at some point in the future, I WILL have sex again.

And so will you. :-) (and it will be GOOD!)

What I will / do miss -

Living with the kids all the time...

I will miss the good times, and all the fun times we shared.

I will miss our beautiful beach cottage we built, to retire in one day.

I will miss all the dreams we had together.

I will not miss the anger and the rage.

It's killing me and I can't quite seem to get it right with the back brush.

THAT is what I miss... seriously, that is IT!

I won't miss......checking cell records, wondering who he's texting while he's outside smoking a cigar, is he really working late and generally all the lies he told me. Made me feel like a nag or that I was going crazy. The love filled emails he sent "her". All the sexual innuendo filled texts from a number of women I didn't know. He turned me into a fact checking shrew.

I will miss.........The boy I married 27 years ago. He was my everything. So sweet and supportive. He made me feel pretty, when I felt ugly. Smart, when I felt like an idiot. And just having a hand to hold when I reach out.

Now he is a complete stranger.

Ok, same here. Mine was one way for a long time, then suddenly, another way.
That's how it seemed.
I could not begin to count all I miss. And will always miss.

Trying to kiss my husband and having him giggle like a second grader.

Having someone to watch "Survivor" with.
