Knowing my story and reading many DS er's. I just wonder what happened to people in general, I know anger and hurt makes us do and say things we normally wouldn't do or say, but man this vicious
seemingly never ending circle of spitefulness just stinks, I know, I don't like my X right now, but I would never do the rotten things he does. I think this is my biggest problem with my divorce, when does it quit being mean & spitefull, we were married 14 years and not all were that bad, we have a great son, many things to be thankful for.
Trust me I've tried killing him with kindness, gone out of my way even,I don't yell or scream when support checks bounce,when he calls and says sorry forgot to tell you,I can't pick up the kid this weekend. I've given him almost everything he asks for, hoping that it will end vicious meaniness. but to no avail.

I just can't stand the malicous spitefulness, which I know so many of us are dealing with.How do you get it to stop, anybody with a magic cure( that does not use firearms).?

Campyone, I know exactly how you feel. I started being nice and then my stbx started pulling crappy things on me and now I just do not want to be nice anymore. I am hoping this will be over with by the end of the year. Why did you not have the court have the support attached to his wages? Do you have an attorney? Anyway the latest my stbx pulled was leaving town over his birthday without telling the kids. They planned on taking him a gift and discovered he went on a weekend excursion with some woman. Nice!!

Society has gotten to the point were morales are no longer politically correct. Ugly term but thats what we live with. Many things that were never excepted are now the norm or are trying very hard to be the norm. You have to take a test to get a drivers license but any fool can get a marriage license, I should know I got one. In these days where it does not matter who did what, a divorce is based on what each one of you made. Life as a whole is worthless and kids are listening to music where woman are referred to as bitches and coping killing is condoned. I am not for censorship but I think we have lost our way and our civilization is going to hell in a hand basket. Divorce is more prevalent because it is excepted if not expected. Any one married more then 10 years is some kind of freak and the longer you stay in the more the responsible party get penalized.

I think its too easy for folks to make bad decisions without social repercussions. Its almost accepted that folks have affairs at work. Then there is little to no feeling for the wronged parties.

Me? I've always rooted for the underdog, so its hard for me to be around that type of stuff knowing that someone, somewhere is due for a heartache tonight....a heartache tonight, i know. Oh, I know.

Sorry. Eagles on the radio right now. Seamless segue, no?

Morals and kindness went out in the 1500's..there is none in todays society.
