Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
it depends on my mood of the moment.
But most of the time, I just need someone to acknowledge that I'm here. With the way that things are in my life lately, I spend a lot of hours alone in my apartment and it's nice to know that I'm not really alone. There are real people out there and they know that I'm here and suffering.
I also like having a body of people holding me accountable for making good decisions.
So, you know, friendship. Friendship is my expectation.
this is my first online support group experience and i'm so thankful i am here.
i am being helped here beyond what i could have imagined ;o)
Like Patti, my last relationship was filled with too much negative, as well as creation of self-doubt and power dynamics. The last thing I needed was to be told what my problem was or what I needed to do. I was lucky I had people who understood that about abusive relationships, that the support I needed was to reclaim my self-determination, my self-reliance, my inner compass.
life can mind fuck anyone and run them down. whether giving or receiving, it is important that we all get heard and acknowledged.
this forum has been a very good source of good for a very long time.
Support to me means friendship. It's a variety of things. Someone to listen; hurt with, laugh with; figure things out with; kick your butt when you need it; and someone to be there when you need it most.
I'm wishing you all the support you need.
John
Not cruel, nasty, meanspirited jabs that repost old issues of that member....i.e., "go find your polident."
