For me, even though they drive me crazy at times, I am grateful for my 2 boys. I almost died giving birth to the first and had numerous miscarriages before him and it was a struggle to stay pregnant with both of my boys.
I am grateful for my mom, dad, and brother who, have tried to the best of their abilities, help me through all this.
I am grateful for my job, even though it's not even close to my ideal, the hours work and no weekends, holidays, or off shifts and am grateful in this economy to be making money to help support the boys to the best of my ability.
I am grateful for my DS friends and the support I get through here. I have met, in person, some wonderful people I would not have met otherwise. To know we are all dealing and doing the best we can is the best inspiration anyone can ask for.
This may sound very weird but I am grateful this happened, not because it happened as I would not wish this pain on any family or person, but it has changed me and made me realize I need to stand on my own and make the best of what is dealt to me. It made me realize what the hell I married and what I will NOT accept in the future.
There are many other things I am grateful for, as well but it's 7:30 am and I am still not fully awake. Thanks for reading.

Just thought I would join this group now that I am a widower. My wife passed away May 28th. She was "The Wind Beneath My Wings". When I met her, I was a drunken, dope smoking, fighting, hell raising biker. She told me if I could get rid of the inner storm within me, that I could be a blessing to people. God placed her in my path to stop me. I have been drug and alcohol free now for 53...

My husband and I got our foster license last month, after 3 years of hard work (we had to start over multiple times due to family dramas and Mom's open heart surgery). We spent a year preparing the whole house, guest rooms, and children's bathroom for older kids of 7 yr old and up. Then we got a call that we have been approved to receive twin newborn premies. What, what?!! Babies!? Premies?!...

... I am grateful for my children, my family, my life, I may not have much but I feel like I am truly blessed.
I'm grateful my son has gotten over the mean nasty funk he was in for over 4 months.
I'm grateful I don't live with my mother.. I would have to kill myself if I did.
I'm grateful the judge for my divorce let me keep the house.
I'm grateful for my church and the peace in Christ that comes with it. I'm grateful for my family who have been an amazing support system through all of this. I'm grateful for my DS & IRL friends. And lastly I'm grateful for my kitties, and my dog because that's where I get my needed affection :) Especially the dog. He will tolerate my husband, but I guess he's had it with him not sleeping in there for as long as he has, because when the stbx steps in the room, my good dog goes haywire, and makes him leave. Such a good boy!
