Okay, first off, I know I shouldn't be thinking about it. I know. Lay off.

She's wearing a ring on her left hand ring finger. Not our wedding ring. I asked her about it before, and she said she liked the ring and it's the only finger that fits. (She wears another on her right hand).
After I asked about it, she immediately took it off, and I hadn't seen it for weeks.
She went to a movie tonight, she didn't say who with, and I didn't ask, but she came back tonight with the ring on again. Hmmm...

Seriously, not brooding on it, I could care less (or so I tell myself). It's kinda just entertainment at this point.

So question: if you had just asked for a divorce 3 months ago, and it hadn't been finalized yet, and you're not particularly fond of your stbx (me) would you even wear a ring there? Even if she were completely honest with why she's wearing it, wouldn't that be just a little weird?

i was never married so i dont have that history but i wear most of my fashion rings on my ring finger. it just usually fits most rings, and it's just the natural finger i would wear it on.

Skwerl - I hear you...I'm just thinking if my stbx did this how I'd be and I think I'd be thinking the same as you. Ugh that rollercoaster...I think it's better for us to realize...we can NEVER figure them out why they do things, etc. So we should quit thinking the "why" with them. It's not worth it and it'll take us down that rollercoaster...which we want off!!! (((Bro Hugs for ya))

The ring was one of the hardest things for me to give up. I have a lot of nervous energy and I was constantly playing with my rings when I was agitated. Needless to say, they got alot of playing before I took them off. I haven''t replaced my wedding rings, they have been off my finger for over two years now. I have thought about it, but it just won't mean anything to me to put another ring in their place. I still have the damn ring rot though. You can't see it anymore, but you can feel it.

That was hard and like TC I often twirled them. I have one he gave me for mother's day and I can't even wear that one...it's a nice 3 stone diamond. Just the fact he gave it to me but it reminds me of my kids, too. I used to judge how tan I got in the summer by my ring, to see if I was getting burned. Funny my hands look so old now that they are bare. Skwerl...I am so sorry...((((Skwerlie))))

I like that , "ring rot." Took mine off 2 months ago and you can still see the indentation like it was yesterday. Now I know what to call that scar.

Like SD I always had to take mine off at work. 1000volts isn't something you want shorting to your hand... Or getting a ring crushed on by a hydraulic actuator or something. They had a "motivational" poster with a large picture of some poor guys hand with the ring finger ripped off because the ring got caught on some equipment. So no ring rot on me lol!

But it was still an important symbol to me.. I guess it's just weird seeing it on her.
