Okay, first off, I know I shouldn't be thinking about it. I know. Lay off.

She's wearing a ring on her left hand ring finger. Not our wedding ring. I asked her about it before, and she said she liked the ring and it's the only finger that fits. (She wears another on her right hand).
After I asked about it, she immediately took it off, and I hadn't seen it for weeks.
She went to a movie tonight, she didn't say who with, and I didn't ask, but she came back tonight with the ring on again. Hmmm...

Seriously, not brooding on it, I could care less (or so I tell myself). It's kinda just entertainment at this point.

So question: if you had just asked for a divorce 3 months ago, and it hadn't been finalized yet, and you're not particularly fond of your stbx (me) would you even wear a ring there? Even if she were completely honest with why she's wearing it, wouldn't that be just a little weird?

I have more than one girlfriend who after divorcing, got rid of their wedding/engagement combo, and bought a ring they liked enough to get themselves and wear on that finger. I also have one gf who wears a diamond ring on that finger when she goes out JUST SO men wont hit on her.

I promised stbx that I would wear no ring but my engagement ring and wedding rung. 2 months after he moved out, I bought a ring that I loved. I wore it on my right hand. Then, I gained weight and moved it to my left hand...about 1/4 ring size difference. Nothing but that.

Yeah, my Ex had a ring on his left finger before we were divorced yet he never wore his wedding ring while we were married.
I asked him about it and he said his cousin gave it to him. But his lips were flapping so it meant he was lying. He also wore some neckband and shaved his head before we were divorced.
He did take the neckband off after our son told him he looked gay.
Not that there is anything wrong with being gay.

I wear a ring on my left hand mostly because I tried not wearing one and my hand felt naked. (I know, weird.) I usually wear it on my middle finger but will change it to my ring finger sometimes. I really don't think about it that much.

Bella - I just said the same thing. My finger felt bare. Now I don't wear one as much.(But even after 3 years I still have a small dent around my ring finger. It kinda bugs me.)

My ex and i got engaged four months before he left me in Sept. 07. I haven't worn any rings at all since then.

I have my remade wedding ring with a diamond and my 50th birthday diamond ring from the ex - I'm keeping them and wearing them.

I should have added that as to your wife wearing the ring, some women just see rings as a jewelry item and don't attach a lot of emotional value to them. That's possible. The fact that she wasn't wearing it and then put it on after the movie date to me seems a little odd.

Joy, it was a fake leather thing he wore around his neck. Our employee and I would laugh about it behind his back, because he's not one to wear any jewelery of any type.

I never wore a ring until I was married. About two weeks later I accidentally touched the positive terminal of a battery while I was working on a customer's vehicle. The ring shoted itself to the battery and became white hot, giving me a permanant circumferential burn.

Shoulda taken that as a sign of things to come....
