I was with my boyfriend for almost 6 years. We bought a house together, but my name couldnt be on the loan because it was a VA loan and we weren't married. We lived together there for 3 years. We adopted a dog together. I thought he was my forever. But, we grew apart and stopped communicating with one and another. He was fine being alone and not talking, but I felt completely alone even though we were together. We broke up, but I stayed for another month until my lease started and was the worst decision! I feel that he changed his mind over and over about being together and I completely lost it emotionally. I moved out officially on Sunday and now feel lonely, depressed, sad, mourning the lost of our relationship. I have close friends, but still very sad. I can't stop crying. I'm not sure how to handle it. I'm trying to stay positive but it's been challenging. I live with regrets about our relationship and he's ready to move on.

I'm horrified! I knew my insurance would go up due to getting a new car but I didn't expect it to go up over $2,000. I did have an accident with the snow/ice in the winter. I was just telling my brother that I have had my car since March 2, 2026 and have only spent $75 on an oil change. Now this! I called another insurance company and their quote was over $4,000. I guess I have to pay...

Now is the time to focus on - You. Taking good care of yourself during this difficult time. Writing in a journal is very helpful to get your feelings out in a safe, private way. Thinking about what do YOU want for your future, what type of man do you really want (sounds like someone who is better at communicating, someone who is more compatible with you, etc), what are things that you want from your life. This is a hard time, but it is also a wonderful time to focus on yourself, and only you... for a change. Great time for self discovery, for doing thing you want to do, living the life you really want.
I have read good break-up books, listened to podcasts, to help get through bad break ups. Also, keep in touch with your friends, family.
You are going to be okay. One foot in front of the other. You know deep down you didn't want to be with someone who was like this to you. You deserve so much better. Best wishes!
I think it's very important to do your best to let go of regrets to move on. You did what you could.
Keep yourself busy and focus on yourself. I am going through a similar break-up and it helped me a lot to watch videos and listen to podcasts and write down quotes that resonated with me. I cried for a while but eventually, it stopped. It has to stop, this will get better.
You deserve someone who will never make you feel alone and will be sure that he wants to be with you and you know it. Sometimes we are just too close to the wrong person or situation to see the big picture.
I hope you feel better soon.
I’m very sorry you are going through this. Give yourself time to grieve. Talk to someone you can trust. Writing down my feelings in my journal helps me to release my feelings and thoughts, it’s like talking to a friend. I hope it will work for you as well.
Praying for you, for peace and healing. God bless.
