Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
I've thought and said so many times that all relationships are essentially the same. That the way you are, is the way you are. With your friends, your spouse, and everyone around you.
And that the way you handle conflicts is the same also. I get mad, but I don't call names or swear, and I don't try to attack people's weak spots....with Anyone. (OK, I've said "D... it" when really frustrated with my kids sometimes, but I've never used a swear word or almost swear word (idiot, dumb, stupid, moron) to refer to them personally.
I don't cut people out of my life who use those words, but I lose a bit of respect for them every time I hear it.
They teach the kids in my children's school to walk away from conflicts. And I really can't think of a better life lesson than to learn how to walk away with your head held high.
Not me, I like it nice and peaceful.
