I know what you mean. My life is pretty much the same old, same old all the time. Kids, school, work, and house. In that order.

I like to skate...that's my big excitement, but it's not very exciting to talk about.

Some people like the drama...whether they want people to feel bad for them, they want attention, they're bored of their life...

Simple is definitely better. Sometimes a turkey sandwich should just be a sandwich. hehe.

Simple is good. I am one of those "daily drama" people, and long for a simple, calm existence.

There is one who comes and practices skating. I never knew that it was still around. They played Beat It yesterday...I guess in honor of Michel's passing. Talk about a life full of drama.

So many people post questions about why people cheat. And lately there's been questions about why the cheaters stay with the ones they cheated with.

Perhaps it's for the drama also?? I don't know, just a thought.

My wife used to be so self-absorbed in the drama she created, that she would not have the time to be concerned with anything that had to do with my life. Not once did she ask me what I did at work, or how my day went. The second I would arrive at home, she would spill the drama of her life on me like a cup of scalding hot coffee...There is a word for people like that, but I just can't remember it right now.

I, for one, don't LIKE the drama. I do my best to be "drama" free. However, it seems to want to visit me more frequently than others. I try to put on a brave face, but the drama gets old. I try to keep it to myself. I think there are many more out there like me.

I'm not talking about the drama that comes people's way. That is unavoidable. I'm talking about the drama that people create. Some people just need to be the constant focus of attention. How can a relationship work, if it is only about one person? It can't and neither can a friendship. Just my thought for the day.

I had a "friend" like that. And I was always helping her out. But when I desperately needed help myself, she had no time for me. Her life and her drama, still came first.

One of the Best things about this divorce, was forcing me to put those "friends" onto the back burner. I still occationally talk to her, but I just don't have the time or energy. Or perhaps I've just been forced to put things into a different priority.

I also used to carry so much resentment that I would never come first. But hey, it was my choice to always be giving to people who repeatedly demonstrated that I would Never be important.

With the exception of parents and young children, I believe that every relationship needs to be a 50/50 give and take. You give support, you get support. You talk and you listen. Too many people have a problem with the listening aspect, though.
