I came to DS a few years ago, in a lot of pain, met some great people then left. Along the way I met some wonderful, supportive people, who showed me how to deal with the pain of being rejected by my wife. I am now revisiting this place, mostly reading what all the newer members have to say. The people are different, but the pain is the same. It's like a revolving door of failed relationships, pain and rejection. I'm sure this has always been the case and it will always hold true for the people who will come here in the future. This is like a club, so to speak. Once you come here, you'll probably never forget the experience. We all share similar stories and can relate with one another on a whole new level.
So, I just wanted to say that for the new people, you aren't alone. So many people who have been through what you are going through have made it through this very painful process with success. I wish I could fast forward life and show you a glimpse of how much better you will be some time down the road. Just keep hanging in there, talking and listening to how others have coped with this devastating pain. It will get better.

I read a few posts too and I also thought the same thing, how the pain and the issues remain, even though it's different people posting.
DS helped me a lot. It provided a place where I felt I had friends, even though I didn't know them. A place where I could say what I thought, even though I got slammed a few times, and ended up with a few enemies.
I miss the "friends" part. Specially the taco posts. I liked being CFO and being twins with the Queen. But I don't miss all the pain.
For all you newbies: It does get better. Life goes on, and you can find yourself in a much better place than you ever were. Keep the faith!
