Don't harm yourself! Get help if you need it. Your kids need you and you need them too. You must walk thru life together with them because they need your love, protection and guidance. Dan, I went through divorced going on 6 years ago. I remember the awful pain, but it does get better. The life waiting ahead of you, is so much better than the life you now know. It is better than the life you had with your ex. Suicide will destroy your children. You will not get to look down and see an unhappy ex crying over your body. She is NOT worth it and you will see this one day.

My brother-in-law ended his life this last summer. It has destroyed his parents, and kids, but his ex seems unaffected. If you're looking to punish her, do it by living a good life. Look forward and take pride in being a good father. Focus on your kids right now.

I have never been happier than I am right now. I am with my 2nd husband and he is my best friend. You have a great life ahead of you. Pick yourself up, dust yourself off and take care of you and your kids. The best is yet to be, I promise!!

I echo everyone's sentiments. Please think about your children. They would be devastated. That's the only reason I haven't done anything. Plus I will never give my wife the satisfaction. It would make things so much easier for her. Why would I want to do that? She deserves to be unhappy, not me. And the same goes for you. Find that better life and leave her in the dust. Before I read this, I read an article about forgiveness. The hardest person to forgive is yourself. Your wife needs to be forgiven too. You have to let it go. Forgiving doesn't mean you are ok with what happened by any means but it does mean giving up your need to punish everyone around you. This is a painful process, the most painful process of all. Please stay the course. My paperwork hasn't even been filed yet so I can't even imagine the pain of when it's finally over. I am so proud that despite of you losing it all, you're still here. I am proud you have logged on and expressed your complete vulnerability to us. You are a fighter and you are fighting for your life! God has already forgiven you, so please forgive yourself and LIVE!

Please call or talk to someone! I know it's hard but think of how hard it will be on your children. They are innocent of whatever went on in your marriage. Now that you are divorced they need a strong father more than ever!!!

Suicide is about anger. You are so mad and bitter.. You want to give that pain back to her.. But she'll be find.. It's your children that will suffer... Live your best life and you will be find. Love will come.. There are billions of people in the world.. I'm sure there's another for you. Don't give up. Are you a coward?

Well, my marriage did fail.

If I'm honest with myself it wasn't right for me and when I look past the whole "failure" thing, a whole bunch of doors opened for me. I just had to stop trying to arrange deck chairs on the Titanic and LET IT GO.

You don't know what the future holds for you, just remember that. You could have joy beyond anything you could have imagined waiting for you.

Don't deprive yourself of that.
