I've posted about this a few weeks ago, but my ex's cage fight is tonight. He secured free passes for me to see him. It's his first fight ever, he's 33, and up against a guy who's won 7 straight in the heavy weight division.
A little background: he left me after 12 1/2 years, two young boys, had an affair with a 20 year old... He was faithful until the end, and not with her now, but the real issue is how psycho our arguements are...and unhealthy for our children.
Anyway, my dad took the boys out of town until tomorrow, and I have no social plans but really need to get my house straightened out. The night before my final exam last weekend he called me fat and ugly repeatedly, said, "You just suck!!", and that I'm a crazy alcoholic that no man will ever want. He completely messed with my head right before my test, and put me in a dark depression all week because part of me believes what he said.
The thing is, he's still technically my husband, and has been the central person in my life for so long, and this fight might be a once in a lifetime event. I am curious to see how he does, yet know there's a little voice in my head that thinks he's gonna want to spend the night with me after it's over. He apologizes for the crap he's said, claims I know he doesn't really mean it, even posted in my journal how he will always care about me and would defend me to his death...Am I being weak and pathetic here? Should I go? I have very little time to decide.

But you are right, it appears no matter what you do he's going to use it against you. Not a comfortable way to live. Have you two tried counseling?

he will want to spend the night with you?? give him a polaroid and leave it at that.
