That is a tough one, as i live in a different country than my old flames. What if i came accross what was the biggest flame ever? If we were both available, sparks would flow. But I am in love now and sparks are flowing, so I am glad I don't have the what if scenario....or flames would fill the planet..lol

Well this is very depressing but I'll never know because he committed suicide 5 yrs ago. I was already with my boyfriend (now husband) at the time, but I always wondered if he was still here would I have ever cheated with him. I know that's horrible to say, but I felt very passionate about him and I always wanted it to work out, but he was afraid of getting hurt by love. He killed himself because another woman hurt him badly.

I would start again to try and make that what if true. The person I married has given me so much pain that I regret ever meeting her, never thought I would ever say that.

Oh my, I am sorry to read that - it was obviously not my intent to bring up sad memories - rather just the opposite, I was hoping that any one else out there reading would have that 'devious' smile on their faces thinking about this as I do right now.

I'm sorry, I probably shouldn't have replied...didn't mean to bring anyone else down. It's just that my best friend and I were talking about him last night so it was fresh on my mind.

ok, my what if, actually asked me once when I ran into her now, ten years ago....
She said "my mother always said, I should have went after you since you're such a good man."
OK, a little late. you cut it off, I found my now ex and lived miserably ever after.
Thankfully, I have two wonderful kids.
I've heard she's divorced and has three girls from the guy she started dating after me...
Such is life, no I don't have any regrets, except boy was there a lot of passion between us.
Then again, is passion a defining agenda of a real relationship? nope. passion can fade, love is forever right?

I'd do it in a heart beat. He's still one of the most descent guys I ever met.

I don't have a "what if" person, but I do have a "what if"... what if I'd never made that one split-second decision that put me in touch with my former husbands? I think about that one a lot.

I have a what if person, besides the X. It was very brief, and VERY wonderful, but wrong timing. I think about him all the time.
I like the memory as it is. It was what it was and it was beautiful.

I actually ran across a picture of my old "what if" just the other day. I would love to talk to him again. But then I wonder if it's just my loneliness getting the better of me. It's hitting me pretty hard right now.

I wouldn't go back in time to do things differently, though. If I did, I wouldn't have my two gorgeous kids and I can't imagine life without them.

OH if we are talking about regrets I have tons. My what if woman I let slip through my fingers. I could have been very happy with her but we just were in the wrong place at the wrong time and I needed more then she could give and she was in a rough place. I will never for get her and thats the hard part.

My 'what if' person is one of my very best friends. He's married to a lovely girl and he has two beautiful daughters. He's an exceptional man. I love him dearly, and he is completely devoted to his wife. As it should be.

I have a couple. One wild card that lived in a different Country. We were very taken with each other and dated for a while. Wrote for a while. Totally different lives and I didn't really see the point in trying to pursue anything else. He wrote me a 4 page love letter once. I should have NEVER thrown that thing away.

My other one was the nicest guy I ever dated. We dated for a year and a half while I waited for the chemistry to kick in. It never did. he asked me to marry him..and I said no. Very little doubt that he would have been a great husband. No doubt that I was not the wife for him. He deserved someone that was crazy about him.

Passed on these two and married a cop. High on chemistry..low on committment. He had a very high opinion of himself..still does.

I am going to do myself the same favor that I did the nice guy and not settle for anyone that is not crazy about me.

My what if guy and I are talking now... :) He divorced a while ago for the same reason I am divorcing now. He's STILL hot, very nice, but lives in Utah. :( There's always a down side...damnit!

funny i was just talking about this to jw last night...leave it as is, the past is a past for a reason, wanting or wishing to mess with it, would have a chain reaction effect to the person i am today...and im finally happy to say the least!
