*bear hug* I'm going through something similar right now, only my now ex only texted me to get me over to his house so he could lie and use me one last time. It hurts, good god it hurts and its gonna hurt so theres only one thing to do. Cry when you need to, dont ever bottle it up. If you need time alone to breath then go for it. Try to find something to distract you. I'm currently trying to find a martial arts club and I also let my job and school keep me preoccupied. I know it feels like a strong pressure on your heart trying to crush you but it will heal. I promise it will and you will become something spectacular. Dont let any of your thoughts try to manipulate you into a depression rut of pushing people away and letting the hurt consume you. You can do this I know you can.

Thank you for saying this..as you know being alone isn't something I can do very well right now. I want to call and text him if I'm alone.. it's such a difficult thing to look at my phone even. I havnt tried deleting him yet because I'll just freak out. I don't have social media and so that helps but I've got his number and I just can't believe this is happening. I have all these future memories and I've moved to the same town as him and now this. Fml ..he's the only one 1 know so it makes it difficult.. again thank you for saying all of that. I'm sorry your going through this. This is the WORST pain I've ever endured

You may have heard these 3 words very often and you probably find it annoying but its true .. "you'll be fine" . I promise you. Memories and change are the true causes of pain in such cases. They'll all fade away soon enough, accept this change and let your mind heal from it. Cry, think, learn, forgive, move on..... let your, lessons water the seeds of your future happiness. Remember, its "one" man who who's failed you. There are so many others who would cherish what he failed to..... Be strong.

Yes, the physical effects are real. Chest hurting, head and stomach hurt, anxiety, yep, all real. But you have to allow yourself to go through the pain completely. You cant let him interupt the process. You cant allow him to yo-yo you around. Dont allow him access to you at all. At least take that power back. Its terrible that we all have to go through this, even with this being a virtual space, I would like to believe that we are all doing it together. Heartbreak FREAKIN SUCKS!!! *Hugs*

Yea it helps to have people feeling what I'm feeling or at least know what it feels like...seriously it's the only thing that keeps me kind of normal right now

Yes. I know it seems like that cliché "misery loves company", but not in cases like this. I wouldnt wish this on anyone, but it does help to know that other people can offer some insight. I cant even try to give you pointers on how to get through this. I just know you dont want to make it harder for yourself. And usually "quick fixes" turn into prolonged agony. So beware and be honest with yourself.

I'm fresh in mysel, last Wed I got broken up with after2 years. Waking up and getting througg the work day I can barely do. I don't eat and I leave my desk to cry and call my mom. I really hope you feel better because I know what thoughts hurt me all day.

I went through this after my wife left after 24 years together..it's horrible pain and the urge to contact them can be overwhelming..but believe me the longer you go no contact the better it gets...it just takes time. Sorry you're in the muck now but you will get to the other side. You get there much quicker cutting them COMPLETELY out of your life. I wasted 8 months talking to her and it was pointless. Don't make that mistake! Take care

I got rid of facebook, changed my number and didn't give him my new number or anyone that knows him. Kept it to my personal friends and family. It doesn't take the pain away but it does stop you from waiting for them to text you and hearing things from mutual friends you don't want to hear.

Yes it is bad. If you believe in God, pray he sends you that comfort and whoever you are supposed to spend your life with. That's really all there is to do. My first breakup I just came home from work and took sleeping medication so I could sleep my days away. That I don't reccomend and haven't resorted to that now. Do yoi have someone you can lean on right now?
