Is sex addiction a real thing and is there help for it?
My ex (of almost 2 yrs) recently cheated on me with a former sex-partner (i cannot call her "ex" because they were never together), because we only had sex once in a less than 3 wk span, which was not the norm for us. But it was because we moved, he is working 2 full time jobs, I was working and in my last week of classes, and sorry for the personal info but I had my cycle followed by a YI. There was a lot going on on top of our schedules not colliding. He told me at the start of our relationship that he was a sex addict but we never had issues in that area until recently. He said he was trying to reach out to me, which is true, and I wasn't meeting his needs. I am now feeling guilt and blame for this and I hate it. It was less than 3 weeks! And I wasn't getting any either but I didn't go and cheat! He literally left the house to go to "Walmart" and came back an hour later. The girl contacted me on Facebook to tell me and he admitted to it the next day. Sounds crazy but I know without a doubt that this man loves me and would do anything for me but I am so shocked and hurt that this happened!
Is sex really this meaningless to guys?

Hell, I love my wife but if sex doesn't happen, I'm going to outsource.
Any guy who tells you otherwise is either lieing, gay or both.
You know even those priests who claim to not have sex get it somewhere... May not be a women but they got it and got in trouble.
its that he values it more than anything else
even the peace and trust of his home life
any addiction - it is not the fault of the partner when the addkict engages in his addiction
thinking that it might be leaves you susceptible to codependency
and then its all downhill from there
I'd like to recommend a few AlAnon or CODA mtgs to clear away some cobwebs
So needing sex isn't necessarily addicted. It builds in you and the. You have to let it out. Then it starts building again and then you let it out.
The internet makes it sooooooo easy .
And broken souls looking for any validation/affection they can get with anyone that will prey on them does the rest....
Sorry, but I believe that most men and many women will cheat. Anyone who announced themselves as an unrepentant SA .. is bad news.
If you have SA, and you are not working on it..... you are . either unaware as yet or a committed POS.
With deep regret, i submit that your man is the later.
Please run from him and do not go back.
This is not about YOU. This is his problem.
Ask any man if they wouldn't want to have sex right now. Post it on craigslist just to be sure.
