Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
I think that either way, you are inviting trouble, justified or not. Frankly I think that you need to back-off.
Stay positive, keep your distance and I bet you will have people rallying around you.
and I have to agree that it is so true.....
Doing a facebook attack may make your friends nervous. If you were my friend I'd be afraid that if I pissed you off for some reason, you might go after me too.
Hopefully just knowing that you are the adult in this mess will be enough.
Please do not look at me as a bad person, because I 'm not. Am I bitter and angry, Most definately. Would I like to get revenge? Of course. But being the better person and stepping back from that type of behavior is what will rise me to the top. As I said before, this is a great place to vent. Get those devilish thoughts out. Doesn't mean I have to act on them.
""Newagain"" - this woman is at fault as well. She knew he was married, with a family, she had planned and went thru with a marriage to another man. Then blind sided him when she kicked him out. Just so she could be with my husband. All in a 5 month period. As I said before, she doesn't have any self respect or morals and quite honestly doesn't care who she destroys in her path to get what she wants. I have let her know that I do not completely blame her and that I pray for her and her sons who are unsuspecting victims of a very vicious man. What really upset me the most was the way she has responded to some of my messages to MY husband via text. So I can no longer feel that sympathy or empathy for her.
Nuff, said. I'm rambling again. Sorry!!!
So, will I post anything NO. Do I want to, YES. But I will take that high road and pray for this woman to find peace, self respect and morals one day.
I believe the legal ramifications could be having slander and harassment charges being placed on you, depending on where you are, how much damage is done and how far she wishes to persue it.
If I were the woman involved, and you had done something along these lines to me, I'd persue every legal avenue I could to have you court ordered to undo the damage you had done, whether by monetary compensation or written retraction with community service and probabtion.
I also wanted to out her on FB, put her face on cheater websites, etc., but realized that in doing that, I would only be dragging myself down to the sewer where she lives. I also rechanneled my anger where it really belonged--on the skunk of an ex who throw our marriage vows away like dirty trash.
Put your energy on more productive things like getting the best settlement you can. Nothing is so sweet as watching your ex leave a courtroom knowing you just kicked his ass financially. That kind of revenge is sweet, indeed!
I understand you're hurting, but please don't do this. You are better than she will ever be.
Hugs!
As to slander and all that, I believe truth is the defense for slander in court so as long as you can prove it, they can't sue you but it still is kind of a dark path. It's like those proverbs about "arguing with a fool makes you one" - getting into a big fight with her just pulls you down to a place where you're at her level. Like you don't want your life filled with affairs, adultery, bar sex, etc., right? Her life IS filled with that and that will be punishment enough (diseases, angry people, unstable life, etc.). Karma will get her without help from anyone else but herself.
Yes, I know. It was just a vent. I can't imagine what might have possibly transpired if you had had a few glasses of wine, and posters had told you " hey, why not if it makes you feel better" and you had a brief moment of insanity. You'd be paying for that mistake in one way or another.
As angry as we can get, and I've been there, we really need to check ourselves before we let our thoughts go to certain places. Things can get very crazy.
I feel safe here. That is why I come here to vent.
Once again, Thanks everyone and no I will not be posting anything on facebook. I just thought about it for a minute that was all.
Bottom line is: having the desire to warn others is something that brings comfort as you would probably want to be informed if the case would be of another friend of yours and the same happened to her husband.
Reality is that your neighbors, your friends and your environment already know about her. There is no point in making the effort to share something they already know.
If and when someone would like to be involved with her would not be because you posted or not something in facebook, but because they made the choice to accept her offers.
So your decision to not post it is wise, as it would only reflect the fact that you do not intend to expose publicly your own pain. She will be who she is, regardless of who puts what out there.
