Hey everyone. So I'm about 9 months post break up, and i guess i could say i am in a much better place than I was a few months ago. I have gotten to the point where I see him for what he really is - a narcissistic user - and although I don't think I am over the way I was treated, I am over him. My question now is... What do I do now? I feel a bit lost, disconnected from the rest of the world, my friends etc. I mostly feel lost. Anyone who has been through this, can you please advise me on how to get me back?? I dont feel like a strong, independent woman but I want to. I just can't figure out how to get there.
Thank you all x

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...

We spend a lot of time searching for what was instead of what will be. This in itself can stunt your growth and diminish your strength; yet you'll wonder why you don't feel strong or confident.
Your true characteristics, likes, wants and all that are still at your surface. As you get back out and feel better, the dust settles and is gone, you will find the things you love and want again giving you the ability to find new life instead trying to rejuvenate something that was old.
Be patient, real and true to yourself. Keep your head up, eyes, ears and heart open.
Welcome to the group.
To get at the root of the problem then go from
there. Not figuring out the truth is not very
Helpful or healing. We learn by our mistakes
And awareness then we can do better. HUGS

Not straight forward. I am very glad you are
Addressing those issues. A narcisstic loves
A codependent with weak or no boundaries
.
I have found in my recovery, in order to repel
bullies and abusers the Stronger you are in
yourself and in your boundaries You are not
So appealing to them. HUGS
