I highly recommend it.
I can't say it enough times. Leave. Walk away. Don't try to fix them. Don't try to change yourself in hopes that you can get them to see that you're worthy, right, good, lovable, don't deserve the abuse, etc. It's all crazy-making. And it won't end until the abuser is out of your life completely.
the option to leave is one.
But here is the scenario: the abuser in my case, is my child. She is 21. She is the cause of the soon to be divorce, because we cannot see eye to eye and my child is extremely intelligent, manipulative and aggressive - out of other's eyes.
How do you divorce your child, who had just given birth to another child? How do you turn your back on a baby whose mother is like this? I can't walk away... this is too hard and I don't think there are enough books that will give you the green light to walk away knowing that there is such complexity in the matter.

You cannot reason with an unreasonable person. If you do try to talk or speak and explain it just escalates out of control.
He still thinks it was all me and I was the cause of everything. Also, my older daughter doesn't speak to him at all. We are all in counseling trying to heal from this rollercoaster of a ride.
I was too stupid or afraid to leave earlier and I really should have. I also feel horrible that I brought children into the world in a relationship like this.
Well we all learn through our experiences.
Usually it is after something wonderful done for them that they screw up and attack.
Like a ring, the cycle never ends until something is broken and painfully damaged. I am not sure what causes this behavior but I am certain that no matter what comes next, the attack is a bite waiting to happen.
