ahh lol. btw soon idk about DC but in Va every house has to have two points of egress incase one gets blocked by fire. actually thats in the international building code so yeah thats everywhere. why cant you have stairs on it?

Why do you even need a permit, its not like you're changing anything structural, a deck is more like putting down a walkway

actually putting in a deck is structural. the deck is raised and has to be cemented into the ground. plus to even build a patio the person needs a permit. any addition to the house needs one

and has to be attached to the house itself. normally just above the foundation but if its a second floor deck ittl have to be attached just above the framed wall of the first floor

i can tell you exactly why lol. i deal with at least like 6 different counties around here for additions and new buildings and thats what we do is structural design work and soils testing

it has to be attached to the house. its not about your house falling over its about the deck collapsing. its happened trust me. plus its not really about that its about the fact that wherever your living wants money to put something up. but a deck is indeed structural. not to your house but to its self.

so do i. i just o the drafting and dealing with the counties on what they need to finalize plans to build them. we dont do the building we do the design but we have a sister company that will do the work discounted. its technically the same company but not really

Well since I had to slow up my drinking, and I am sole supporter of the kids, any of that mind altering stuff is off limits....

so now it is food, I love to cook and love better to eat it..... and No, I am not that fat.... moderation is the key.
