At work, they have no choice. I'm relentless. So, they pay attention so they won't hear from me again.

At home, I'm just in my closet.

At work, if I need to talk to someone very urgently, I will sit by their office or cube and wait for them. Some people hate that, but some people screen their calls or are remiss with dealing with their email, so I decide the "in your face" approach works best.

Outside of work, I will simply berate you with rapier-like wit until you listen.
