Ot--Let's Just Be Friends!

How many people on here have been into someone and heard that phrase come from their mouth?

I haven't heard that phrase in a while but that is the normal thing for me in the dating scene.

Ladies, what makes a guy a canidate for "Let's Just Be Friends?" What makes a guy a canidate for more?

Without having read the other posts yet, I want to take issue with the expression, when the emphasis is on the word JUST. I value friendship highly, and don't want to ever give the impression that one of my friends was "merely" a friend.

A "Let's Just Be friends" kind of guy is someone who I cannot imagine ANY kind of romantic relationship with whatsoever. More than likey I wasn't attracted to them enough to continue on that romance trek.

Friendship is when I am not sure of myself, when I am not sure of him, when it feels too good to be true, when I feel he might reject me but I value him so much that I want him to be my friend.

More than friends, when I feel he is really hot and I get horny for him, but I don't care if I am loosing him afterwards, more than friends if he asks and I feel that he can be someone that I can trust or I can see him as someone that I can spend the rest of my life with.
But, sometimes I use that term for not hurting his feelings, because I don't care about him in any particular way, yet I don't feel he is the kind to take it nor do I feel like dealing with saying what I really feel. It is when somehow he is already inlove or excited about me. Then, I just use excuses to let him cool down and find someone else.
