whenever I get a case of the "fuck its" I get myself in trouble...and I think I'm getting close to that point again...

But anyway...I think Dutch has it right with the idea of "fuck it, I'm gonna do what I need to do to get this done" And you definitely need a new approach with the wife...gotta figure out something to do that will MAKE her care enough about the situation...

It's not about stop caring...it's about taking steps. Since you and her seem to have too much friction/lack of respect in your communications...why don't you two get a mediator? Perhaps a pastor/chaplain/priest/rabbi/monk....whatever or whomever. You should let her see via a neutral ground the reality of the finances if you were to proceed with the divorce. Seems to me, that she is used to being provided for and is dettached from the reality of things.

Remember....many women/mothers start from the ground up and make it. I made it and without any type of support. No mother will let their little ones starve.

Find solutions.

Idk what to say here Rman....sucks you have to go through this. I can't believe she cashes her checks....and doesn't contribute meanwhile you're working 2 jobs. Idk.....Good Luck buddy...

I think you're fast approaching a breaking point, Rhombre. It's been pretty clear for the past few weeks. And like I've said before, you know 'cause I care and stuff, you've got to do something for your own sanity and health. You can't possibly keep this up.

Talk to a lawyer. See what you can do to take care of the girls while not hand feeding your wife. I like Joy's idea of selling the house if you've got good equity. If you're underwater, that's a whole 'nother nut to crack. You can't keep relying of what it was. It is what it is and I think you deserve better. When are you going to think you deserve better?
