Per week...

We spend about $75-100.00 a week.

My stbx spent $200/week.

Now with just me and the 2 kids, I spend $50/week.

Apparently, liquor is expensive.

In our area, Rman, $150-175 a week wouldn't be out of line...unless you factor in the tacos, then it could easily top $200.

My wife used to spend over $200.00 per week. I never did understand what she actually bought for $200 plus dollars?

Was this at a grocery store or mega store like Walmart where you can get groceries, clothes, cd's, shoes, books, make up, etc....

I'd say between $150 and $200 a week sounds about right, depending on what was needed that week.

When both my kids were home..and thats 5 years ago..I spent 150 a week. I also grew a lot of my own meat, fruit and veggies and did lots of canning. I thought that was a lot back then!

I spent about $175-$200 a week plus we ate out several times a week. Now with the Nanny cooking more regular meals, we are spending closer to $150. I have learned that it costs more to eat junk food than it does to eat good meals.

I spend about $80 a week for me and my son, but we eat lunch out every day and have small dinners. But it includes all sorts of other stuff like soap and cleaners, and pet food and cat litter.

Rman - I used to spend about $150-$175 for a two-week period on our family of six, when it was still family of six. That did include some non-food items however like cleaner or shampoo or toilet paper, etc, sometimes.

If I really plan and budget, I can get me and the four girls by on about $135-$140 for two weeks.

however I always manage to forget something or not plan accordingly and then have to take a trip back and spend another $15-20. :-)

wow... don't ever move to Canada...

ugh... I'm just me... nobody else to take care of and I spend at least $100 a week on food. That doesn't include anything but food. The extras are well... a separate bill. I won't buy those at the grocery store.

I'm shocked. I spend way more than all of you do. I have adult children who are big eaters and are used to fancy meals.

I shop at 3-4 stores to get the best sales but I'm still way higher.
