I am not going to be on here much tonight because I am teaching some training at work but I wanted to go ahead and make an announcement to a big event that just happened.

Yesterday evening, 3-1-10 I proposed to my girlfriend at National Harbor. She said yes, of course, and we then had a romantic dinner at McCormick and Schmitt. It was a beautiful evening.

The wedding will be in May of 2011.

Wish me luck guys. I have come full circle from the bad place I once was in. This is very exciting news for me.

I remember when you first came on DS--seems like a lifetime ago--you were so sad, angry, and hurt.

I watched you go through the hell of divorce and come out on the other side. And now you have found happiness.

The wedding is going to be around May 21, 2011. We have been together about six months. During that six months things have progressed rather quickly to the point we kind of life part time with each other. When we are not together in person we talk on the phone over an hour a night (usually 2-3). The communication in this relationship is excellent.

I don't plan on going anywhere and I will still be checking in from time to time.

I wanted to be engaged for at least a year and live together for a while with my ex. I can't imagine getting married that quickly. I understand if it feels right. I just wonder what the rush is?

They have been dating for 6 months... will be engaged for 14 months.... I don't see that "rushing"

Um.......Asked March 1, 2010...Marriage May 21, 2011. That is an engagement of over a year. That isn't a hurry. That means that we will be together 20 months when we get married. It is a 14 month engagement.
