She wished I was there, and vice versa. Took nerves of steel but I said FK it, and a week atfter xmas she asked me what better I had to do and what's keepin me here, so I planned my trip. On January 2nd, went n got a ticket, a 20 hour plane ride, to sydney. Saved up money, told my family bye, told my job im out, n they said if I came back I got a job still, so that was cool.
So, I set it for 3 weeks going there, flying out end of march. Probably staying permanent. Had a going away party n all, I was totally in love with this girl. Well, the day I was getting ready to leave, mind you this was like a 9 month relationship, online, talking on the phone, talking to her family, I was in the tub, and she called me 2 hours before I was heading to metro airport n told me that all the pics and all that were not her, they were her cousin. She was crying, I was freakin out, but I was like okay, I'll go anyways. So 20 hours later, She met me at Sydney International Airport, and what a disapointment. She was about 260 pounds, all black teeth, worst of what you could think about the pics that she sent me.
So, I figured we could be friends. We got a room downtown, hit the nightlife, she even had the guts to try to sleep with me but I told her no. Next mornin, she got up and took the train bk to her house where she lived with her family, said she'd be back in an hour freshened up cause she didn't bring clothes n what not n left her car there. 6 hours later and trying to call her, I was left in downtown sydney. alone. I finally got thru to her, and that point I was in the Airport already. Told her where to go, and good thing I had a ton of money with me, change my ticket, and flew back home from there on standby from sydney to LAX to Denver to Chicago to Detroit. CUSTOMS LOVED SEARCHING ME cause I threw up red flags everywhere. I was gonna charter a plane or get my buddy to get me from chicago if I couldn't get the next flight.
Long story, home is where the heart is. I learned my lesson.
So I joined a bunch of free sites and dated a lot. Before each date I did a lot of talking on the phone and emailing. Most of my dates were one time only - I would know right from the start if there wasn't any chemistry. The guy I'm with now I met online. We dated once, then played golf - and became good friends that way.
